Mini 850: Werewolves in the WAMB! - Game Over!

Phase: Game over!

Hello, and welcome to The WAMB, the ultimate in luxury living, and your new home! The WAMB was built by Webb, Yew & Amof Realty, and offers twelve deluxe condominums with such amenities such as a rooftop pool, in-building gymnasium and business center, doors that lock from the outside, and artificial full-moonlight security lamps. Just minutes from downtown Hamletville City, a WAMB condominium is the perfect place to rest in peace for both young professionals and werewolves.

So, you'd like to know why the werewolves are here? Legend has it that no one knows how the werewolves of The WAMB came to be. Some believe that they are a curse upon the building, which was built on an ancient Indian burial ground. Some believe they are the result of a mad scientists's efforts to clone a pack of wolves and a family of Mormons at the same time. Some say the werewolves are Satan's work, as each resident has signed a deal with the Devil to get a low 4.875% interest rate on their mortgage. Others believe it was the surprisingly successful "Refer a Werewolf" program, the reward for which was a $200 credit towards the referer's condo fees.

No matter what happened, you all bought your places "As-is," so don't blame us. Concerned residents may avail themselves of the IKEA Varulvgrinde in the basement for handling any werewolf-related issues.

Welcome again to The WAMB, and we hope to see you again, and in one piece, soon.

WAMB House Rules

The Mod

1. Hi! I'm the mod. How's it going?
2. Everything written by the me will be in blue. No other text in post messages should appear in blue. If you post anything in blue (other than your signature) it will be edited to a different color, and a player may be mod-killed if they are pretending I wrote it.
3. You may paraphrase communications you have with me. Directly quoting anything I wrote to you is prohibited, and a player may be mod-killed for doing it.
4. If you need to get my attention on a matter, you can post in the thread
in bold
, or send me a PM.
5. As the mod, I am always right and often accurate. If you see me mess up, please let me know.

Posting During Day, Night, and Twilight

6. During the day and twilight, surviving players may only discuss this game in this thread. All other communication with other players is prohibited.
7. Once I lock the thread and declare night, you may communicate with other players only if your role PM explicitly says you may.
8. If you are killed or lynched, you may make one short "bah!" post.

Voting and Lynches

9. Only votes that are in bold and appear substantially in the format
Vote: That Guy
will be counted.
10.
Unvotes
must be bolded, and are mandatory before changing votes.
11. A lynch occurs when a player receives a majority of possible votes (half the number of the surviving players rounded down plus one). Once a player is lynched, the game enters twilight and no further votes or unvotes will be counted. Night occurs when I declare the lynch and lock the thread.
12. You may vote for no lynch. A majority of these votes will end the day without a lynch.
13. I will edit a vote count into the top post of each page. In each vote count, I will make a note of how current the count is ("Current up to post ###"). Vote counts will, as with everything I write, be in this shade of blue.

Deadlines

14. Days (including the first) will have default deadline of two weeks. A day deadline can be extended one week by player request.
15. Nights will have a default deadline of 48 hours, or 72 hours if any part of the night will occur over a weekend. A night deadline can be extended 24 hours by player request.
16. If a day deadline passes and no one has a majority of votes, the day ends with no lynch. If a night deadline passes and you have not made a night choice, you will take no night action that night.

Activity

17. If you will be V/LA for more than three days, please post in bold or send me a PM.
18. You are expected to post at least once every three days. If you do not, I will send you a prod, which you must respond to by posting in this thread within 48 hours. If you do not respond to a prod, or have to be prodded more than twice, you will probably be replaced.

Ok, Let's Get Started

19. In addition to these rules, all site-wide rules apply.
20. By now you should have received a role PM. If you are a townie, you have recieved the PM below:
Welcome to Mini 850, Werewolves in The WAMB! You are a townie. You have no known allies. You are pro-town, and win when all anti-town players are dead. At night, you take no action. Please PM me to confirm.
If you are a werewolf, you have recieved the PM below:
Welcome to Mini 850, Werewolves in The WAMB! You are a werewolf. You are allied with ____________. You are anti-town, and win when yours is the only surviving faction. At night, you may communicate with members of your faction and collectively attempt to kill another player. Please PM me to confirm.
Other players may have received role PMs describing other normal mafia and/or werewolf roles, including but not limited to cop, doctor, angel, priest, vigilante, serial killer, mason, role-blocker, mafia, and godfather.

21. Please PM me to confirm (this may be the 4th time you've read that).
22. Once all players have confirmed, or at 5 pm Friday, EST, whichever is sooner, Day 1 will start and I will unlock this thread. Day 1 is the first phase of the game. If a player has not confirmed by 5 pm Friday, they will be replaced.
23. Good luck, and have fun!

Edits:
9/16 @ 8:30 am - changed rule 12 to read "will end the day" rather than "will put the game into twilight" for brevity; corrected a numbering error; reformatted for clarity
9/19 @ 11:20 am - Mod color now be blue, matey!

DeeJayCee hasn't picked up his PM yet, but otherwise everyone is confirmed. Game still starts Friday at 5 pm EST (about ten hours from this post) or once I get Dee's /confirm.

WAMB GENERAL ASSEMBLY
TODAY @ NOW O'CLOCK!

Please join your fellow residents in the common room to discuss issues affecting the WAMB Condominiums. Agenda items include:
* Excessive hair causing clogs in water pipes
* Blood-curdling cries after 10 PM
* Trash, torn clothing, and body parts being left in hallways
* Demonstration of the IKEA Varulvgrinde Werewolf Elimination System (nominations for a test subject are encouraged!)
* Switching to card-operated washers

Drinks and refereshments will be served. Don't miss out!

It is now Day 1. With 12 alive, it will take 7 to lynch. Deadline is set for October 2, 2009 at 5 pm EST, but a one-week extension is available.

I'm seeking a replacement for DeeJayCee.

for being the first player to post - far too eager, the sign of an overly-early riser, which is clearly dodgy...

after 2 posts there is nothing clear, Bolingbroke. I don't see any reason to vote anyone right now: moreover, Snow_Bunny is prolly simply an aggressive player. But since you are starting a chain, which may be interesting, I will try and make the situation as chaotic as possible.

Vote: Bolingbroke

Let us now see the reactions.

because he was the last to confirm. Obviously a mafia member trying to put off starting the game so he could talk to his other mafia friend(s). Or werewolf friends. We'll see...

I know your secret. Your name is an anagram of "Fido cannon" which means you shoot poor little doggies into the air. How mean!

(It's also an anagram of "Food in can "N"" so if anyone sees a can with an "N" on it, that contains food.)
