If you're going to be going on a specific vacation or plan to be unavailable for a time, it's considered proper to at least tell people. Lady of the Wood and Sparticus have only posted once on mafiascum- to sign up for this game.

There's another possibility through somewhat metagamy reasoning. Specifically telling players to check their inbox isn't the case in all mafia games, so it's certainly possible there are events/roles that work into that. (Or SK is just trying to make us paranoid) Specifically, there's the possiblility that there could be a role that makes someone to be unable to post or have severe limitations to their posting without telling the town.

I'll admit that my logic (outlined in the second half of page one) is shaky at best, but it's a lot more than going on nothing or lynching someone for making stupid posts.

Spart is the only one yet to post. I talk to him on AIM occasionally, and will give him a kick in the seat of his pants if I see him today.

I will retain my vote for Quagmire, as I believe it is the best chance we have. However, if Lady of the Wood has not claimed a role in the next 24 hours or so, I will switch my vote. We no longer have a deadline, but I doubt that any interest in this game will be retained if it last until november.

I haven't seen Spart online.

I would agree with Lepton's logic about Quag, both in that Quag is more likely a baddie, and that I don't like lynching someone who can't claim a role. For that, I won't join Lept in voting Quag.

Well, due to my unseemly silence, it seems most of what needs to be said has been said. I guess we're just waiting for LotW. I'll withhold my vote until the role claim has been made.

I think Lady of the Wood has a very important role which may ruin the game should she be lynched, since SaberKitty is very reluctant to enforce the deadline and Get Lady of the Wood lynched.

I don't think that SK is reluctant to enforce the deadline. On the GL, deadlines are used to inspire conversation, not to end a day. She might be thinking that we're active enough to manage a lynch on our own. Additionally, it

was

a long weekend, so it seems fair (to me) that the deadline was revoked. (although I would maybe have established a new one)

I don't think mods are allowed to bend the games to their wills somehow. I think she was just frustrated that nobody was talking, so she gave a deadline in hopes that it would strike up a discussion/accusation/role claim/etc.
