We need more discussion on the subject of breaking the game. I want this game won and done before the game even starts.

If we want to do this we need to have it done ASAP before the last slot comes and Spy sets up the draft, right?
SO: After randomized numbers, instead of massclaim, could designated choosing of role be a good idea? (i.e. first draft pick picks odd vig, second picks even vig, and stuff like that).

As a vote of confidence, I will go first with the dice rolling:

Original Roll String: 1d15
1 15-Sided Dice: (9) = 9

Original Roll String: 1d15
1 15-Sided Dice: (15) = 15

Will we know the draft order beforehand?

Woot for breaking the game in the signup thread!

^IDK what roles players pick can tell us something about their alignment don't you think.

I'd considered it, but it does open up the power roles from the start. However it pretty much negates the janitor abillity and if scum try and screw us over it narrows down where they are.

We should have 24 hours available to us before we need to get the numbers in so that the scum and masons can talk.

Re: designated roles, I need to think about that. We would essentially be turning the game into a Smalltown setup (I believe that is the name of that style of game).

Yeah, it's called smalltown. I'm willing to die roll. let me quote socrates to see how it's done.

One thing that it would do is maximize the number of roles in the game.

We would also know who has the anti-town roles so they can't be used in a pro-scum fashion.

If everyone agrees, I'm cool with dice roll.

Spyrex should allow you to change your numbers before the deadline, so there is no reason not to dice roll.

Ditto. So dice roll now:

Original Roll String: 1d15 (STATIC)
1 15-Sided Dice: (9) = 9

Original Roll String: 1d15 (STATIC)
1 15-Sided Dice: (15) = 15

So I should change my numbers to those?

Oh!

I gave in my numbers already, without consulting the thread beforehand. Maybe it's possible to change them, I don't know.

Oh, btw why those say fixed is because I went into my post to edit it to see if my sig worked. Want me to role again, or can you guys take my word for it?

I saw it and can confirm it wasn't changed, so i'm fine as it is.

/against.

I didn't sign up for Smalltown, I'd play that on IRC if I wanted.

I know my position is anti-town and you can all feel free to pre-game policy lynch me, but this breaking the game is silly.

Spyrex said SCUM and MASONS have the ability to co-ordinate before the draft. The masons were obviously put in to counter scum co-ordination.

THIS thread is not here to balance that out. I will not be taking part in this dice-rolling, town co-ordinating. The problem is the damage is mostly done (The people who have posted so far are all prob-town). I'm town also, of course, but I'll be a spokesperson for both scum and FUN.

MC on D1, D2, D3? I'm DOWN WITH THAT. But I don't believe this pre-game co-ordination is what the mod had in mind. At least compared to last game (where people joked around.)

Spyrex, does this thread need lockinz? Or are you okay with this set-up breaking?

Hmmm.

Well, I'll definitely say this wasn't what I expected.

However, these games are experimental still so I'm not going to throw a fit.

I'm also not going to actively help either. One more spot and I'll send out a PM to those who haven't turned in a set of numbers. 24 hours from that point I'll be running the draft. If you haven't turned in a set, you'll be last.

P.S. I'm also not looking at numbers in the thread. ;) So.

Well fuck if it's mod approved...

I'll tell ya what.

I'll meet everyone half way.

We dice roll to determine numbers picked so that scum can't get a better advantage in the draft itself, BUT we leave out "role-assignments" (which makes a lot of roles useless anyway unless we get lucky and have scum take them, i.e. DOCTOR, Tracker, BOMB, etc.)

Original Roll String: 1d15
1 15-Sided Dice: (1) = 1

Original Roll String: 1d15
1 15-Sided Dice: (4) = 4

These better not suck you damn commies.

Hmm... last time I saw someone poopoo a strategy in the name of fun they were scum. Fate will probably have my vote when the game begins, I don't care about your disclaimers.

If it isn't forbidden then we should kept talking. More dice rolling too. I am officially pro the small-town idea. If we can get more of a concensus on doing it then I will mock up a list we could go down. If we don't do that then I think we should mass-claim day 1.

Problem is we have such a short window I doubt we'll even be able to get all the players to die roll much less smalltown it. Scum can also just lurk and say "oops didn't read the thread before I picked my numbers and now it is set."

When in reality they can just lurk, see all the numbers being chosen, and then work around that to get a much higher position in the draft.

But of course I'm obvscum for openly debating against the idea. Good D1 info lynch for sure.
