IS an attempt at a site-written and site-run RPG that started back in the early days of the site.
It is currently being resurrected - inquire within if you want to help or play!
If this account is abused, I will have to change the password which would suck as this was given to help moderate this game. I hope everyone will be ok with sharing some responsibility.
So.... whats next people? Lets make a goal. How about we establish the Gold/Skill system by next Saturday (not tomorrow)? Sound reasonable?
I think this deadline is a great idea. If we keep working this way, then we can get Amstaad running soon. After we get the gold/phase system done, we should try to finish the combat system by the next Saturday and magic the Saturday after that. In the meantime, DN can make up a list of items in the game. Don't worry about how they'll fit in with gold, combat, and magic. What we need is a comprehensive list of all the items that are in the game, and then we can work to implement them.
Neither, especially. I think last time I wasn't so much a moderator as a "designer" or what have you. Not really interested in running the game, but I like the building process.
Quiero hacer contigo lo que la primavera hace con los cerezos.
well everyone is helping in the designer part right now so feel free to jump in. If you want to work with religion especially, then I need you to talk to me outside of these threads as some of it borders in flavor which is not revealed to players.
You can thank/blame CDB for the change. There was a thing some time ago where they were assigning scummers pokemon. (Never watched or played the thing, but fun little meme they had going.) Should probably change it, but eh.
Doing fine. On break, so flitting around Nairobi trying to find stuff for the new place.
(And I meant what's happening with you in meatworld. I know how the bouncy tomato is doing, silly.)
Dead? Yes.... Extinct? Probably not. It just needs the proper leadership and people to commit to it. I feel that as time goes on, more and more people will take on Amstaad and push it farther and farther.
The only thing that worries me is player commitment. I feel that many of the quests and storyline adventures of this will be hurt by flaking players. Of course... a flaking mod doesn't help.
Instead, take an existing system that is structured (IE not DnD), that has quite a bit of source material and lore, and do it that way. Maybe some source material that people know well. I'd honestly recommend Star Wars Saga. Because of the expanded universe, the Mods could still invent their own storyline and setting within the universe, without having to worry about mechanics and complicated lore too much.
Pathfinder wouldn't be so terrible either if we tap into the lore, but it is close to DnD in it's openess.
