Review of Greywing

His first argument was against me for my suspicions of PG. I admit I was wrong, but PG's use of a truly random number was pretty anti-town. RVS isn't really supposed to be random.

Never really did explain why he was more suspicious of me than of PG, since he was accusing us of doing the exact same thing. Rereading his supposed explanation... I still don't understand it. He basically just brushes it off.

Then he goes after DJD for not especially clever reasons. Claims DJD is tunelling Sala, and claims a townread on Sala. Red flags are going up here.

Then he pulls his big gambit. Was it geared towards getting masons to counterclaim? Who knows, but that's what it did do. Note that he never particularly expresses remorse for this, he just (rightfully) yells at Om. But he HAD to be lying during this claim. Not just that he himself isn't a mason, but that he knew that PG was town. He couldn't have known that. No one knows who the VTs are. There was no way to know if protecting PG was helpful to town, and he chose an extremely dangerous method to do that. He could have been saving scum for all he knew.

Then he votes Greygnarl. In 343 he attacks Greygnarl for correctly pointing out possible communication between Sala and Whiskers. Gnarl's extrapolation of that to Hyperion is questionable, but it's not false. Then Greywing is not a big fan of "paranoid self-preservation". Survival is important for everyone. I don't see this argument against Greygnarl as well founded.

Greywing starts the wagon on PB and encourages a quick hammer. Scum, of course, knew that PB wasn't scum. Keep in mind that scum must get the game town to 2 people (or just himself and the masons) in order to win. So PB has to die at some point. How did Greywing go from strongly suspecting Greygnarl to having "strong town reads on every player" in just 20 posts?

If we assume that Greywing is scum, then why did he go out on a limb to protect Greygnarl now? Especially since he'd been so sure about him as scum before. Perhaps he has a mason read on Greygnarl, and wants to get the VTs lynched, since the two masons will help keep each other alive and when he gets down to just them and himself he can shoot them and win.

I can see some scum in here. He defended Sala, his fakeclaim got a mason killed, and his reads changed pretty quickly. Plus he posted a lot of fluff early on.

PS, I'm really not surprised that PB wasn't scum. But it was an unsolved question that needed to be answered. Plus the absent PB could have made it difficult to get the majority for a vote later on. I'm glad that issue is out of the way. There's five good guys here and only one bad guy. Let's do this!

Actually, no. I've only played with Hype when he was Town. I think he's Town here as well.

Anyways, your list has helped me quite a bit. I think GG's scum. My read on him flipped to Town because I spotted what I believed was a mason slip from him. With you saying that he's your #2 scumread, that showed that he's in the top two of every remaining player in this game. At this point, bussing your partner seems silly for a mason to do.

If he's not mason, then he's either VT or scum.

GG has made a number of posts throughout the game where he has said the word "we." Again, I thought he was accidently slipping mason-tells. I've already shown that GG as a mason doesn't make any sense. There's only one other team in this game...

This looks a bit like coaching to a scum buddy because why would you try to openly find out if someone is mason or VT.

I guess I gave Mala away a bit with some of my posts. Not going to throw a vote out until I have a bit more to work with.

His attack on DJD looks like he recognizes him as the most dangerous town player and wants to plant seeds of doubt while going after others because most people thinks DJD.

He obviously thinks both me and DJD are VT and is going after me because I firmly believe DJD to be town.

Well its either him or hyper. Ive pretty much ruled you out just cuz of meta, pesch doesnt have a single bus attempt against him to consider but had good scum reads, and lolmcstab is town.

I can see it. Ive recently become convinced that whiskers could very likely have been bussing gnarl since she shot right after doing so. Ima reread that seil/gnarl interaction again and see if that works nicely too.

Found that newbie game you were in with hype. Ya, he seems to have a similar style minus some 'new to site' newbieness posts. As soon as he gets into it he posts a lot like he has.

Whiskers+Seil did fairly well throwing me off on gnarl, but it seems obvious now.

When I say we I mean we as a town, not as a team of masons/scum/whatsits. Also, I don't say we in either of those posts.

Post 337 I was trying to subtly look like I was a mason with Mala and draw a shot. I'm a VT if that isn't clear.

Post 358 I'm saying that:
-I think Seil wants to get DJD lynched because he believes him to be the most dangerous town
-And also Seil thinks DJD and I are VT and is scared to shoot us

-I think he knows I believe DJD is town
-And thinks I'm an easy lynch because people think I'm scummy.
-And so he goes after me to get rid of a townie
-And also lower the votecount needed to lynch DJD

I'm also subtly implying that I may not be a VT and thus draw a shot

I have no strong scumreads but Greywing is feeling weird. He was certain PB was scum. I voted for him because it was the best move if everyone else looks pretty town. DJD and Pasch both have their own reasons for voting, DJD's being the same as mine.

However, Greywing does seem to be scumhunting, maybe just a little overeager for the win. Pasch also looks to be scumhunting.

I see no way DJD could be scum unless he was trying to win the game on his own.

McStab, is out for Greywing's blood but he had a well put together argument and looks town.

That leaves Hyperion who has been defending himself and asking questions but never actually making a case on somebody.
