Today is the day I was destined to die. Long before it was born, it was written in the stars that today a heart attack would claim my life and the great dreams that I have seen will die with me. But Death is a lonely man. And, as he dragged me further and further down, he has shown me things living eyes never were meant to see. But I was not meant to be a man who had great potential. I was meant to be a conqueror, a God amongst men. And so I have ripped myself free from Death’s grasp, and have prepared my return to the world above. You are a Vanilla Townie. Your duty is to find and destroy the saboteurs among you so that your Master may rise again. You know he has lent two of the faithful his strength, and you know that they cannot be killed by the saboteurs while they both live. You don’t know if you are one of them, however.

You win when both Mafia Goons are lynched.

You are a Mafia Goon. You must stop this madness by destroying the group of faithful from the inside. You know two of them have the strength of the demon-god and so you will not be able to touch them at night while they both live. But you also have a sacred relic you may slip on one faithful to make sure that the energy will never reach them.

Abilities:
Veto – Once before the game, you may decide one player to keep from becoming a Chosen Townie.
Kill – Once every night, you may select a player to be killed. The kill will fail if you target a Chosen Townie while they both live.
Nighttalk - During the nights, you may talk in this quicktopic.

You win when you outnumber the town.

General:

1)

I am MOD. There is no greater authority than I. I reserve the right to alter these rules if I deem it necessary, including retroactively enforcing new/altered rules. You also have my promise that I will not do so unless it really is necessary.

2)

Do not talk about this game outside of the thread (or your QT, if you have one) in any way, shape, or form.

3)

Do not quote any mod communications originating outside the game thread. You may paraphrase, but be cautious when doing so.

4)

If you are modkilled, you automatically become a Neutral Survivor, and lose the game.

5)

Voting/Lynching:

1)

Voting will be done either using the VOTE: tag, or in this format:

2)

There will be no voting trickery. If something is clearly intended to be a vote for a specific player, I will treat it as such.

3)

A lynch will occur when half-plus-one of living players are voting for the same player. As soon as the hammer vote is cast, the game will enter Twilight.

4)

All living players (including the lynchee) may talk in Twilight, but any voting/unvoting will not count. Twilight will last until I post the final vote count / scene.

5)

Roles will be revealed at death.

6)

Once dead, you are allowed a single ‘bah’ post at the beginning of the next Day Phase.

7)

If there is no majority at deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched. In case of a tie, the wagon with the most senior vote will become the lynch. I will grant deadline extensions, but not after the deadline is passed.

Deadlines:

1)

Day phases will have a deadline of 21 days from the daybreak scene.

2)

Day phases are extendable in the case of excessive/badly timed replacements and other extenuating circumstances.

3)

Night phases will last 48 hours each.

4)

Prods will be given if a player has not posted in 48 hours OR whenever they are requested.

5)

A player must respond, in-thread, to a prod within 24 hours.

Don’t Be Stupid:

1)

Don’t use hidden or encrypted text. You may use small text, unless it is hiding game-related or important information.

2)

Play to your win condition.

3)

Don’t attack your fellow players. It’s just a game.

4)

Understand that life throws curveballs sometimes, and players will have to go V/LA. I can certainly relate. Please do not accuse players of using V/LA unfairly.

5)

By the same token, please don’t use V/LA unfairly. If something comes up, that’s fine, but don’t ruin the game for others. Request replacement if you need to.

6)

Note about the flavor: it doesn’t matter. It is for your amusement and your amusement only.

Plans have been changed, my faithful ones. Among you are traitors to my cause that will attempt to hinder the ritual, and this you cannot allow. You must purge them as soon as possible so that the ritual may continue. I will send a portion of my power to two of you; it will seek its own heirs. As for the rest, I can protect as long as I focus solely on quelling their auras. When I must pause to determine a follower’s loyalty, there will be an opening for the traitors to strike. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.

I was hoping that I'd be able to stand back and get some reads before jumping in here but this game seems dead and in dire need of some activity.

FUT, the 'random votes' are placed because people find it as a good ball-roller and think that peoples reactions towards being voted or observing other votes placed are telling but I disagree personally; I think peoples responses to RVS are generally playstyle/skill related moreso than alignment based.

Kondi, mind explaining what you were aiming for example with your FUT vote and how you think his response is a scum-tell for me?

Also, given how this setup is based around scum initally breaking the two chosen townies up by getting one lynched I think they'd be veto'ing members they think are generally unlynchable as their choice. I think there's a good chance that scum veto'ed one of RC/GreyICE/Myself. That means we need to be slightly more cautious when lynching outside of that pool and this game can have absolutely no stupid quick lynches, it'll throw the game away.

@Regfan: I voted Melmond originally to see if anyone would think there was a reason for it, as he had been the only one to post. Grey's and FUT's responses were null to me, so I decided to try it again (that one was actually mostly for lulz, due to the topic of his last post). The fact that he sheeped Grey after complaining about random voting was pretty bad. His #13 was also terrible in response to Grey's vote on him.
