Micro 62: Out for Vengence - Game Over

Mirco 62: Out for a Vengence

You just couldn't take it any longer. For years, you have dealt with those bullies. They're constanly taking your lunch money, throwing you in the dirt. But finally, you will have your vengence. You decided to gather your two friends, and get the bullies here too. The meeting place was an old abanded warehouse. You all met there. Some knew what to expect, others didn't. Suddenly, the room filled with gas. As you were gasping for air, you saw two figures pull out gas masks so they could breathe. You blinked, and slowly, the light faded...
When you woke up, there were four other people around you. You don't remember anything. Who were these people? You felt you pocket, you had a gun with you. You checked it. Only one bullet. Better make your shot count.
As you stood among these people, you heard a voice behind you.
"What are you kids doing here?"
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Five gunshots rang through the air. You didn't realize it, but you had fired, expecting the worse. You walked over to the body. He looked like he was a cop, it was hard to tell with the blood all over the body. Suddenly you realized two things. Everyone here had a gun, and you had just wasted your only shot.
"Any body else have another bullet in their gun?"
"Yeah, me."
You didn't know who said. All you know is that you must depend on them on getting the right guy. After all, you do remember one thing. You are here...for Vengence!

Rules

(References: Equinox, Hoopla, Nobody Special, Vel-Rahn Koon, zoraster)

General

  1. Be familiar with the sitewide rules and guidelines.
  2. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Use of homophobic, racist, sexist, or any other derogatory slurs -- even if made in a joking manner -- falls under this rule. Keep it civil.
  3. Unless otherwise specified in your role PM or by me, you may not communicate outside of this thread while the game is running. If someone contacts you outside of the game, please let me know immediately!
  4. Do not quote any private communication to which you have access. This includes game-related PMs, instant messages, and QuickTopics. Quoting time stamps from any private communication is also forbidden. Paraphrasing is okay.
  5. If it is not visible to the naked eye, do not post it. This includes, but is not limited to: invisible text, tiny text, encrypted text, and text hidden within tags. Spoiler text, however, is allowed, as long as it is used within reason. For cases of breadcrumbing where you aren't sure, please PM me beforehand.
  6. If you have the ability to edit your posts, don't use it in my game.
  7. Green
is reserved for the moderator. All other formatting is fair game with the provision that you do not impersonate me. I won't be amused.

Activity

  1. Prods will be issued to players if they have not posted within a 48-hour period; they will have 24 hours to respond in the game thread before I search for a replacement. I will also send reminders on request as long as at least 30 (1 Day, 6 Hours) hours have passed since the player's last post.
  2. Players who have been prodded 3 times are subject to replacement without further notice. Player-requested prods do not count toward this total.
  3. If you anticipate being away for at least 48 hours, please PM me or post a V/LA notice in the thread with the expected date of your return.

Days and Nights

  1. Days have a fixed duration of 2 weeks. Deadline extensions will be granted only in extreme circumstances.
  2. Lynches occur through simple majority (50% of living players + 1, rounded down).
If no majority is reached at deadline or there is a majority of votes for No Lynch, Day will end without a lynch. Once majority is reached, no further votes or unvotes will count.
    See mechanics
  3. Votes and vote revocations must be bolded (e.g.,
    Vote: Player
    and
    Unvote
). Unvotes are preferred but not necessary when switching votes (e.g.,
    Unvote, Vote: No Lynch
). Use of the vote tags (e.g., VOTE: Player) is optional.
  4. All players, including the lynched player, are allowed to discuss in twilight phase until I post the death scene. Dead players may make one "Bah!" post that contains no game-related content.
  5. If I do not receive your action by deadline, your action is forfeited. You may submit ahead of time; you can also make as many changes as necessary, and at deadline I will take the last action you submitted. Actions may be submitted via PM or QuickTopic.

Moderator Actions

  1. Flavor is for entertainment purposes only and has no significance in the game.
  2. For minor questions or vote count errors, please bold your concern in the thread. For all other issues, use PM.
  3. Pretending to break the rules or exploiting loopholes in the rules will be considered breaking the rules.
  4. Any situation not covered above will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

I reserve the right to add, modify, or remove rules as necessary. I will notify you of all changes in the thread.

Mechanics

• The mafia can't kill at all. There is essentially no Night phase.
• If the godfather is lynched at any point, the town immediately wins. (This is the only special quality of the godfather.)
• If, on Day 1 only, one of the townies is lynched, this townie immediately gets to make a vigilante kill.
• The town does not automatically win by having the godfather killed in this way.
• Mafia wins when there are at least as many mafia as townies, and the town doesn't have a vengeance kill to use.
• If no majority is reached by the end of the deadline, whoever has the most votes will be lynched. In the case of multiple people having the same number of votes, the player who was must recently placed in the tie, will be lynched

Please PM me if you need clarification on anything in the rules.

Remember: Have fun, and play to win the game!

Unless I replaced someone and got the wrong Role PM? No.

And I didn't replace in.

So I don't think so.

I was thinking... seeing as RVS almost always ends badly in small games, do we want to instead throw random FoSs around? Because that could give us a similar generation of discussion.

Oh, and hi DeasVail, I miss you from the facebook chat =(

Why couldn't you have gotten the wrong PM without having replaced someone?

And yeah, I miss facebook chat too. :(

Now we can possibly kill each other instead though, so it's all good!

And you don't really
need
votes or FoS's to start the game off. I'm already obviously town, so we can just go from there, right?

That's where the "I don't think so" comes in.

And killing each other IS a lot of fun... you best be worried after all those comments about my brother! >:D

And sure, we don't need them, but I always suck at generating game-related discussion... and if you're town, let's lynch you and see if you vengekill correctly! That couldn't possibly go wrong!

Every time I forget about your brother, you just have to remind me again!

Hmm, I don't really think that's the best of ideas :shifty:

... Why can't you have better memory?! It would make these conversations so much less awkward! Everyone else remembers, why can't you? Oh, and if you were interested I recreated the situation with his best friend twice since we lost the facebook chat.

And why not? Don't you trust your aim? You must believe in yourself!

Awkwardness is my MO. Don't hate on it. Congratulations in any case! :D

I would say I don't trust my aim, but that would be assuming I am town.

Anyways Agent Ireland is not town. I did math and that in itself is reason enough for Agent Ireland to be scum or scum.

^ How can you not follow that logic? It makes perfect sense!

The real question is: is Agent Ireland Goon or Godfather?
