The site-wide rules apply. Pretending to break these rules is also against the rules.
This a game, so in addition to playing to win, have fun and do not intentionally ruin the fun for other players.
You may never quote anything you received as PM from me. You also may never quote anything from a quicktopic. This does not apply once the game ends.
Do not try to hide information within your posts by using encryption, invisible/white text or similar means. Spoilers are allowed, as long as they are clearly visible. If you are unsure whether what you're trying to do is allowed or not, please PM me.
If you're dead, you may post one "bah" post only if this "bah" post does not contain any game-related information. You may not post anything more than this until I declare the game to be over.
I am not a lawyer, so if you think the rules have holes, please let me know. If you exploit such a hole, expect to be punished.
Voting
Votes should should either use the vote tag or contain a bolded word "vote" and something that I can trace back to one of the players, such as a whole name or an abbreviation. (
vote: nham
) Please make sure that I understand whom you mean to vote for. Otherwise, your vote will not count.
If it looks like a vote to me, I will count it as one. If you are unsure whether what you're trying to do would be considered a vote or not, you may PM me.
If at any point during the day any player has received a majority of votes, that player is lynched. The day will end and I will announce the player's death as soon as possible.
Unvotes are not necessary, but the other players might appreciate them.
You may
vote: No Lynch
. If half of the players are voting No Lynch, the day will end without a death.
Deadlines
All game days will have deadlines N+7 real days after the post announcing the start of the day, where N is the number of players alive at the time of that post.
At the deadline of the day deadline a majority of votes
cast
is needed to lynch.
Nights will have deadlines 72 hours after the post announcing the start of the night.
Night actions not received by the night deadline will be randomized. If you want to not use your action (and it isn't compulsive), send me a message explicitly stating you don't use your ability. It
will
be randomized otherwise.
I reserve the right to alter any deadline under extreme circumstances, but I will try to avoid this.
Participation and Replacements
I expect each of you to post in thread at least once every 60 hours. You will be prodded if you fail to do so.
All prods will be announced in thread by me.
If a player does not answer a prod by posting in thread within 48 hours of the prod or if I have to prod a player repeatedly, I will replace that player.
Endgame
At any point, if exactly one faction has living members or nothing can prevent this from occurring, the game ends, and all members of that faction win, and all other players lose.
If all players in the game are dead, then the game ends in a draw between the factions of the last living players. All players not in these factions lose.
If it becomes impossible for any faction to become the only faction remaining, then the game ends in a draw between the factions that contain living players. All players not in these factions lose.
Information
I will try to post a vote count near the top of every page or every 24 hours (if you produce more than one page per day).
The first post will always contain the most current vote count and any other information that I feel might be helpful.
In the first post I will include links to the Rules, the Setup Preview, any Day or Night Scenes, any replacements, and the Setup Reveal as these items become available.
In every vote count, if a player would be lynched at deadline, I will list that player in
bold
in the votecount.

Setup Preview - This is a semi-open game with modular roles (heavily modified from TDC's modular roles)
All roles are as follows:
You are a
Role Name
. The game thread is located here. Confirm by PM stating your role name.
You win when all living players are members of your faction and at least one member of your faction survives, or nothing can prevent the same.
Note: Any player may only use one ability per night.
List of Abilities:
Cop Investigate: Each night you can investigate another player to determine if that player is a member of the Town faction.
Gunsmith Investigate: Each night you can investigate another player to determine if that player possesses a Kill ability or is a member of a group with a Group Kill.
Motion Investigate: Each night you can investigate another player to determine whether or not that player used an Ability (including Group Kill) that night.
Role Investigate: Each night you can investigate another player and receive their full role PM (minus group information).
Vanilla Investigate: Each night you can investigate another player to determine if their role PM matches the sample Vanilla Townie role PM at the end of this post.
Bodyguard: Each night you can protect another player. If the targeted player would die, instead they live and you die. The targeted player survives regardless of how many Kill abilities were used on them. The Kills are still detected by Track and Watch abilities as visiting the targeted player.
Hide: Each night you can hide in the house of another player. Any Kill targeting you will fail, but still be detectable to Track and Watch abilities. If the player you hid with dies, then you die.
Jailkeep: Each night, you target a player, and that player is both Roleblocked and Protected for the night. See those abilities below for their effects.
Kill: Each night you can choose to kill another player.
Protect: Each night you can protect another player. If exactly one Kill is used against the player you protected, that Kill will fail, but still be detectable to Track and Watch abilities.
Roleblock: Each night you can block another player. They will be unable to use their own active abilities or any group abilities. Any abilities they attempted to use will
not
be detectable to Track and Watch abilities.
Track: Each night you can find out whom another player targeted that night.
Watch: Each night you can find out who targeted another player that night.
List of Modifiers:
{N}-Shot: You may attempt to use each ability that you possess only N times over the course of the game. The count of attempts is separate for each ability you possess. Group Kills are not limited by this. N is always a positive integer.
Even Night: You may only use personal abilities on even numbered nights.
Odd Night: You may only use personal abilities on odd numbered nights.
Backup: You may only use any personal ability after someone with that same ability has died.
Bulletproof Vest: If on any given night, exactly one Kill is used against you, that Kill will fail, but still be detectable to Track and Watch abilities, and you will lose the Bulletproof Vest modifier for any future nights.
Compulsive: You must use an ability each night.
Godfather: If Cop/Gunsmith/Role/Vanilla investigated you appear as though you have the sample Vanilla Townie role PM at the end of this post.
Macho: Bodyguard or Protect abilities do not prevent any kill attempts made on you. Jailkeep abilities used on you will roleblock but the protect will fail.
Miller: If Cop/Gunsmith/Role/Vanilla investigated you appear as though you have the sample Scum Goon role PM near the end of this post.
Non-consecutive: You may not target the same player two nights in a row.
NK-Immune: If any Kill ability is used against you, that Kill will fail, but still be detectable to Track and Watch abilities. You survive regardless of how many Kill abilities are used against you.
Strongman: Each night you may choose to cause any ability you use that night to be unaffected by any roleblock, protect, or jailkeep. If you do so, you lose the Strongman modifier for any future nights.
Weak: You die when you target a a player that is not a member of the Town faction.
List of Group Properties:
Single Faction: All members of the group are mod-confirmed to belong to the same faction.
Neighborhood: Members of the group may belong to any faction.
Day talk: In addition to the game thread, members of this group may also discuss the game outside of the thread at any time
only
in the provided quicktopic.
Night talk: In addition to the game thread, members of this group may also discuss the game outside of the thread
at night
only
in the provided quicktopic.
No Talk: Members of this group do not have any additional method of communication other than the game thread.
Group Kill: Each night, one member of this group may choose to use a Kill ability. That member may not use any of their personal active abilities, unless these abilities are Free.
Lovers: If any member of this group dies, then all members of this group die as well.

You each wake up in an unfamiliar village in an unfamiliar place. You have no idea how you got here. But each of you knows (and you don't know how you know) that some entity called
God
Mod brought you here to play a game. A deadly game. And the gallows is already set up in the center of this village.
It is now Day 1.
With 13 players alive, it takes 7 votes to lynch.

Nope, I don't feel like using my vote randomly today.
Well not unless I find something worth perhaps pursuing within someone's post.

For randomly voting when he could have put down a more serious vote when questioning Cheery Dog.
This may sound kind of silly, but while I remember your name, I don't really remember anything else. What game(s) did we play together? And did I do something stupid in them?
By the way,
Vote Cheery Dog
Stalking me, are you!?

You name is idiot king. King of the idiots. You didn't anticipate that drawing flak in RVS?
