Okay, you may have missed this fact, given the poor quality of humor education in modern schools (and ancient schools, for that matter), but a good joke comes from a place of superlative honesty. Scum players struggle to achieve this genuine sense of openness because they are constrained by the need to deceive the town - and therefore, when they crack alignment-specific jokes, their humor is forced and weak.
