Micro 185: A Replication of Science (Game Over)

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Thu May 30, 2013 5:39 am

Post by Equinox »

Read Micro 173 for the background behind the flavor for this game.

The lab assistants stood by the boards where they had pinned their posters. The professor's talk on the behavioral sink was not due for another few hours, yet he had gone off to some unknown part of the conference. It was hard to blame him, though; they, too, would disappear as soon as their session ended. While it had been fun, even enlightening, talking with the other attendees, there was so much to do at the conference, not to mention the city itself. The rats in the rodent cage by their feet seemed to sense this, too, as they kept pawing at the walls of their temporary home. The presenters were debating amongst themselves which workshop to attend after lunch when the lights in the hotel went dark, all at once.

In this day and age, however, there was not much to fear from the darkness. Soon, the ballroom was illuminated by hundreds of cell phones and was abuzz with excited chatter. The rat researchers were no different, and a few even swore when they discovered that their phones had no reception. With not much else to do but wait for the lights to return, the group split, promising to return with refreshments. In the chaos, no one noticed two people typing away on their phones, every once in a while glancing up at the clock that hung by the exit...

Rules

All rules listed in the Boilerplate Game Rules (rev. May 14, 2013) page apply to this game except where contradicted in the additional rules below:
  1. Do not use
    #BF0000
. All other formatting is fair game.
  2. Days will have a deadline of two weeks, and Nights will last 48 hours. Deadline extensions will be granted only in extreme circumstances.
  3. Prods will be issued to players if they have not posted within a 48-hour period. Players who have been prodded have 48 hours to respond in the game thread before a replacement is sought. Saturday and Sunday will be considered a 24-hour period for purposes of activity.
  4. Lynches occur through simple majority (50% of living players + 1, rounded down). If no majority is reached at deadline or there is a majority of votes for No Lynch, the Day will end without a lynch. Once majority is reached, no further votes or unvotes will count.
  5. All players, including the lynched player, are allowed to talk in twilight phase until the thread is locked, at which point Day ends. Dead players may not post until the game has been officially declared over; no "Bah!" posts.
  6. Actions not received by deadline will be considered forfeit. Actions may be submitted ahead of time and can be changed as many times as desired; at deadline, the last action that was submitted will be used. Actions may be submitted by any means where I can be contacted.
  7. Flavor is for entertainment purposes only and has no significance in the game.
  8. Any situations not covered above will be handled on an individual basis. I reserve the right to add, modify, or remove rules as necessary.

since you use the word "also" I'm assuming you think I'm an all-round good lynch

since you said I'm "keen" I can then extrapolate you think I'm an all-round good lynch because I'm keen to play a game

I just spent the last 24 hours or so playing face2face with (people whom I think) to be some of the best sucmhunters/players on the site and I'm in the fucking zone. so ain't no little shit gonna come in here with a soft-buddy RVS vote and try and pacify me with an appeal to my own lynch candidate

let's not RVS anymore, we can lynch serra now gaiz

Okay so serra's town. Nice. Maestro... is being crazy.

I was GOING to vote for maestro since he gave me shit about it last time but I think not now... you all have ruined that for me. thanks.

I like a kbw vote until he gives me more than a few words. I'm getting wisdom flashbacks all over the place here.

are you going to explain a few things voided? namely:

why is maestro scummy?
why is KBW scummy?
why do you think KBW is keeping his vote on possible-buddy Maestro?

maestro is probtown. can't see scum drawing attention to themselves so blatantly on page one. i think he's better scum than that (although, granted I have never played with him. anyone can feel free to smash this read out of the park)
