Aww its over? When I asked Rob to take over I didn't realize the game would go from day 2 to game over all in a week. (Interesting to note that the town needed 50 pages of discussion day 1 and then ~5/6 more pages for days 2 and 3- not sure what that means).
Congratulations to the town! I thought scum played well but there were at least three player slots that had pretty much called out the entire scum team; I was very impressed- I'd name a town MVP but I think a lot of you played very well / perfectly. I'm curious what would have happened if this game were treated as a normal mafia game- would town have been able to get MrO and Syr both lynched too? Hmmmm...
The two aspects of this setup that I enjoy are;
-the high percentage of scum
-the scum betrayal mechanic in the case of a mislynch
Unfortunately we didn't get to see the second aspect play out, but this was still an interesting game to follow. Thanks everyone for both joining this game and making it an interesting one! Also,NO REPLACEMENTS!Despite this being a very fast paced game, I never had to replace anybody which was really nice. I appreciate it!
I am curious what you guys think of this setup. Last time I played this everyone (including myself, initially) believed it to be strongly mafia-sided. The only reason I modded it without making any changes is because I thought the high proportion of scum might be advantageous for town trying to lynch successfully. That might even be the reason for the town's success here. What do you guys think?
I hope you guys enjoyed the game. I apologize for my absence (didn't realize the week I was gone would equate to half the game ) and promise that next time I mod a game I won't leave for a week during it. If you have any comments/criticisms/complaints regarding my modding (while I was here), then I'd be happy to hear some advice.
Last and certainly not least, I would like to thank Rob13 for stepping up and helping me out while I was away. This game probably would have experienced several delays otherwise. You did a great job! If you are ever modding a game, I'd be happy to return the favor."You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. -Wayne Gretzky"

I think the player list would have made this a tough game for scum no matter how the roles had been distributed. Quite a few players know each others' games really well. Scumhunting and townhunting were pretty much equally important to the win. Needing to get three lynches right rather than eliminating all scum was really helpful, too. Town could prioritize the lynches based on degree of consensus, which was critical given the ratios.
It would have been interesting to let the game go forward and see if town could have lynched all 5 or if a mislynch would have eventually happened.
Thanks for the game!-

Those are valid points. I'm still on the fence though- the issues players had last time this was run were that scum had a lot of power/influence to organize mislynches, scum can hammer a mislynch and simply get betrayed the following night for a premature point (which is exactly what happened on day 1 of the previous run of this), and town has no power roles of any kind. Your point that town only need three lynches (and that is advantageous for them) is especially good because that means scum could lose despite having one or two members that are playing really well.

I liked the setup a lot. The fact there are a lot of scum makes it interesting to look for association tells and reactions to various things (which is why I went for a scummy playstyle). I think we would have got the rest of the scum too if the game continued.
Thanks for the game! I would definitely play it again.-

Yeah, ditto, this setup is truly amazing because of the reactions, flailing, pleas, etc.
Thank you Wicked and Rob! And gg everyone!-

Sorry I missed the last day. Something really serious really did happen over the last week here. I'll spare you the details, but I wasn't just falling off into lurkerscum mode.
I wish we would have tried my desperation attempt. It didn't take long to see that what we did do sure wasn't going to work out for us.
Mutley, to answer your question, you had been saying wisdom was scum. Wisdom was OBVtown. It would have been much easier to pull a mislynch off with you in the game than Wisdom. Just sayin.
In spite of the outcome, this game was fun.
Congrats to the town, well played."MrObvious clearly isn't listening" ~Zang-

It's not really debate; I just suggested it and no one's said anything since. In post 1407, Cabd wrote:There's debate about bringing this setup into the open roster. I think that might be worth while.-
