nah, not really.

you were wrong about nic, but you made yourself pretty obvtown this game (and apart from beast, you were the only player i was particularly confident was town) so it's not like your play was bad.

problem with this game came from town players (myself included) just not giving enough of a shit about this game to spend time figuring it out properly. i think maybe if i'd tried to take a more aggressive, controlling position on the final day and had the time and will to put more effort into this, things could have been different, but meh. dem's da brakes.

KX was such an easy scum read, I have no idea why no one else saw it.

thing is, i never thought he was town. like... at all this game, i think. i was reading his predecessor as scum, i was reading him as scum. the biggest problem is i (and others) gave KX so much leeway because he wasn't around. out of sight, out of mind, etc but yeah.

I swear if you want to find scum and lynch them you may actually have to be proactive

i had some RL stuff that prevented me from putting the kind of time i wanted into this game, but this was just one of those games where every time i opened the thread, i found it hard to build up the willpower to really do anything. the first day phase dragging out for 5 weeks or whatever kind of played a part in this, but there were also things like GM D2 just never getting around to talking about why she was scum reading me and given the only reads she mentioneded about were a scum read on me she never went into detail about and a scum read on TSO, i had a hard time figuring out the angle of her approach in this game.

As my parting thought before I put this in the yGDB, go ISO votecounts and have a count of how many times the scum were in severe danger of being lynched. I counted KX a few times being in mild trouble, maybe more so on D3, and.... that's about it.

My thought is that there may very well be a correlation between the apathy in the thread and this woeful inaccuracy with the bandwagons. I dwelled on the thought a few times, but that probably was an indication that scum was more than happy to be complacent with the dynamic of the game. They weren't pitching in too much during that stagnant period of the game.
