Sorry, I've seen games/sites that are under threat of folding before. It tends to create a siege mentality among the oldbies, and new people who show up may ONLY get as far as "closing down" and never come back. They may never get that it's a joke, or that things are not as serious as they appear...

I actually don't think we're in any danger of that here (at least, until we hear different from mith). We're growing at a damn-near geometric rate, and bursting at the seams as a result. And if anyone did leave, how would I know? So you're probably safe...probably. ;)
Retired as of October 2014.

not true yos.

I'm damned hard to lynch, as I'm sure that you've noticed recently.

Except the time that everyone took the cops investigation at face value. I forgot about a thread for 64 hours or so, come back, and BOOM, I'm dead. Wasn't even able to defend myself. Really sucked.

We lynched you in Newbie 320 too.

(I also had it worse. I was away for like a week on vacation. By the time I'm back the town's quicklynched me without anyone stating a real reason. As it turned out, it was a cop investigation, but imagine coming back to find yourself lynched like that.)

best fall for an April Fool's joke goes to StallingChamp...
On a Magic forum, we once made an April Fool's joke (someone else and me) that Wizards of the Coast was going to be taken over by Toyota.

We faked a website (horribly) and all.

Someone actually bought it.

I've been quicklynched overnight
twice
. Once without a reason, once because my claimed Cop Mafia buddy gone Cult claimed an investigation on me.
