LOOKING 4 NEW ROLES!

I play mafia games on another site (http://www.conquerclub.com) With Fircoal, I am looking for some cool new or interesting roles 2 use and some tips on how 2 balence them!

an idea i had was a pro-town mafia, they work the same as a mafia but are pro-town.

would this work?

Umm, if teh role knows who the other mafiamembers are, then they could just say "Hey, I'm protown mafiamember, here are their names. Lynch them."

Or if they don't know who the mafia is, but can kill at night, its called a vigilante (or a Hunter in Werewolf).

In larger games, something like this might work:

Survivors with a purpose

These want to stay alive at all costs and want to make sure that they'll never die!

Three players that know each other and can talk during the night. They win, if they all survive to the end of the game and if they control the vote (so they can vote nolynch) and if there is noone with a nightkill left (or that person can eternally roleblocked).
In most cases, they win with the town (since the mafia can kill at night and they have to get rid of them), but they have to get rid of all protown roles that can kill, too. Plus they have to reduce the town to fewer than four people.

Maybe they need some variation (atm its really hard to keep three players alive through an entire game). But I think there is potential (making only those of them loose that die, or make them all win as long as one of them, is still alive, or make them unlynchable/unnightkillable, or give them more powers (a nightkill, for example)).

Read the mafiascum wiki. It has plenty of roles that have already been used with varying degrees of success.

i read the wilki and am looking 4 some new roles.

by a pro-town mafia i mean 2 members that r like masons (can talk at night) but can also have one night kill a night,

what do u think?

Pretty sure things like that have been done before, usually in theme games or some of the crazier old Normal games.

another idea.

A way 2 ballence cults. if one cult member dies, they all commit suicide, discuss!

Too unbalanced. The chances of all cult members living to the end is either so remote as to be unfair to them, or they are so powerful that it is unfair to the other factions.

I think I've heard of games where if the recruiter dies, the others revert to their former alignment, but it's still not great. Cults have a lot of difficulty with proper balance...

that type of cult is even WORSE for town, i'd say.

2 cult, 2 town, 2 scum

scum kill a cult, it's over for the town as well.

-If targeted by cops he turns up scum.
-Targeted by mafia, the Mod anounces the player has a gaping bullet hole in his head but he'll be OK.
-If lynched the Mod anounces that he is scum and goes to night phase. The next day the mod anounces somthing went wrong with the lynch and he will be rejoining the game.
-Allowed to attack someone at night, that person becomes a death miller. The player is not informed of this.
-Objective is to make everyones lives harder.
