I think that's the point, to make sure that the account actually exists before the slot is taken and the game starts.

In other news, it seems like this account didn't go through that process for some reason, so I'm half expecting it to lock down or something the first time both of us are on it at the same time.

For 9 players my understanding is that there's a 4-player pre-in limit.

Large game allows around 60% of pre-ins..

Yes, but you need permission from Mith to run it. (Nexus has run a couple after Britmeets, for example.)
