BBCode Question

We have a [youtube] tag ... is there something similar for just MP3 we can use

Reason I ask this is the "ITT We Post Covers That Are Better Than The Original ' thread in GD. A user mentioned (Chamber I think it was) mentioned that even though spoilered, the videos from YouTube still load and I'm assuming it is causing some lag viewing that thread. Figured if just the audio of the song could be linked instead of the entire video, that might be helpful.

There isn't a tag like that.

Would it be hard to implement the html5 embedding?

It's not going to happen. Mith/flay vetoed it.

I meant the Youtube embedding, but that doesn't make sense either. I thought the forum forced the flash player, but I just hadn't enabled the html5 player on my browser.

I thought you had to actually press play to get them to load.

To buffer the actual video you do. It still generates the embedded object though to play the video, and doing that 20 times on one page makes my browser crawl, don't know about yours.

I guess that's the case, I don't pay enough attention to that type of threads. (I know picture do it,, so stuff would happen that way)

This. I mean not crawl, I have excellent connection speed, but my browser did get the herky-jerkys a bit as well when I viewed that thread. That is why I asked if there was code to embed just an MP3 of the song after Chamber mentioned that spoilering them didn't really do anything to help. No worry though, I just edited my post so the links to the youtubes were there instead of using the [youtube] tag.
