supposedly walmart will have a $94 laptop for black Friday this year. They do have Walmarts in Ireland right?

We don't have Walmart here, no. We have Dunnes and Supervalu though

Just found this thread.

Super stoked for FO4, have managed to avoid any spoilers whatsoever. All I know is the setting, which was widely known ages ago.

I nearly watched a spoiler video last night but the intro talked me out of it. However, I believe the following is true:

Spoiler: SPOILER ALERT
I hear there's gonna be guns

Question: If I've never played Fallout, would 3 or New Vegas be a better place to start? Figure I can spend $10 trying it out, even if open world stuff isn't usually my bag.

In terms of gameplay, replayability and extra content, FONV is better
but
FO3 is the gateway. It's what will make you fall in love with the series.

Especially if this ^ is the case. FO3 is a bit more linear than FONV, and there's more guidance/direction.

Yeah I don't know if I would have enjoyed NV as much had I jumped in there, but once I was starting to get tired of 3 NV was just what I was looking for.

Personally, I'd say New Vegas. The different factions help make it a much more "alive" and enjoyable game, at least for me. FO3 is solid as well, but does much better with the Broken Steel add-on.

Holy fucking agreed. The first thunderstorm was amazing.

Seriously though, fuck that first Deathclaw.

Obviously if you're gonna play 3 at this point do it with add-ons, especially broken steel.

absolutely the way to go :D

FONV is GREAT but I think it would be overwhelming for someone who's never played Fallout before. Plus I dig the story better. And the radio. Threedog is irreplaceable. The guy who does the radio in FONV is horrible imo.

That's the one that's just music, right? That's the only thing I listen to when I play. I couldn't stand the other dude. Turned him off right quick.

I wasn't a huge fan of FO3 but I loved New Vegas, so your mileage may vary.

I'm only a couple hours into FO4. Haven't even left the first area yet, but I feel like I'm already getting to that point in Bethesda games where I'm getting anxiety over how much shit there is to do.

Guys it's amazing, holy shit. Love the radio presenter

Edit: NV was amazing, my favourite by far. However the atmosphere of 3 was better IMO, it felt much more like you were actually struggling to survive. NV turned into Wasteland Jesus really quick
