What probabilistic alignment information can be inferred from what kind of mass claim, is math.
What reads you get from the process is just mafia.

What town has to give up in terms of providing other people information who don't currently have it is something else.

Curious as to what the Ika hydra says regarding claiming in this instance, as I know he has extensive knowledge of these game types.

Well, I had something written up and a sudden log off deleted it all.

I agree about not claiming anything today, since we would give away info with no benefit for us.

I'm not sure how we should play this day, since I'm quite unexperiencied and also know nothing about 'breaking games'.

I'm open to questions since I can't come up with much at the time.

This day is more beneficial to scum than to town, in my honest opinion, so let's be careful about what we say.

I dont see any hand waving that would explain why its beneficial even on D2.
There are 5 vaguely defined town slots and then 9 other people who will either probably fake claim or have been randomed into the slots.
Rather a lot of combinations of numbers of each type of slot is reasonably possible by chance.
It, the actual claims, may get you info that is slightly better than random lynching.

But my math says not much.

and there exist downsides. Consigliere is a mafia role because the information mass claim gives away is worth something.

After thinking about it, I don't think that it's town in a vacuum.
But here was my thought process at the time. I thought that yakko's willingness to place a vote would open up discussion as to why he did so when the day was lynchless, thus drawing unnecessary attention that scum might want to avoid this early on in the game to reduce associatives. At the time, I decided it was just yakko doing their thang, so to speak

You are feeling neutral about your neutral role. Makes sense.

1. My intent when I said "not very excited" was not to convey neutrality but the fact that I did not get a role that I liked very much.
2. Even if I were neutral, why would that necessarily point to a neutral role? I could feel neutral about a town role or a scum role as well.

16 is causing me to light scumread axle. I don't like the bandwagon forming considering there's no actual pressure to be gained from it, and as a result it's a post that seems town, but not coming from a town perspective. That incongruity gives me something to worry about.

21 is in-line with my early game reads as of right now so I'm tempted to call it a day and townread Ranger. We'll see how she goes from here.

58 I'd move FA down a notch, flip Sensei and Yakko, and that's about where I'm at. By the way, I don't take much stock in my early reads- simply not enough to go on.
But I wasn't lying in Double Trouble when I said that I thought it was a good idea to take a strong townread and work from there. I think I'm going to do that with Ranger, for now, until some flips or drastic events potentially change my gameview.

The whole FA v Yakko seems awkward but not awkward enough so that I'd consider hanging one of them.

rkvothe has introduced himself closer to the bottom of my reads list (but not where I'd confidently say scum) and here's why.

The "I'm open to questions" line is something I've used as scum to make it seem like I'm unafraid to interact with people when in reality I don't want to share associatives. Again, I am afraid of overanalyzing this due to the newness of the slot (I believe you mentioned this was your first game in signups)
And post 70 seems to me to credit grab to try and seem more town when it really doesn't matter who suggested the idea first.

I'm keeping an open mind in regards to rebuttals because this is pretty clearly not a strong case by any means
rkvothe and others I'd appreciate it if you could share early reads, even if you're not very confident in them.
It would be helpful if you end up gettin killed.
