The Odds (canceled)

8 town, 2 scum. Each player has an individual percentage chance of being scum, ranging from 5% to 35%. (A bigger number is more likely to be scum.) These percentages will be posted publicly--if you have an alignment preference, let me know and I'll take it into account. Of course, even the 35% player is still going to be town 2/3rds of the time.

The town has a gaoler, assigned after the scum have been generated and independent of percentages. The scumteam have a factional one-shot roleblock, which takes priority over the jailkeep.

Status:
Yeah, that probably wasn't a great time for it. I'm canceling this one.

Deadlines are one hour. (Sorry, there's a part of me that's still in 2008.) If there's a hammer before I lock the thread, you can have it. Bold your votes, don't be an asshole, you know the drill.

7 players will receive:
You are a
vanilla townie
.

You win when the only living players are town.
1 player will receive:
You are a
jailkeeper
. Each night, send me a target. If it tries to kill someone that night, or if the mafia tries to kill it, then the kill will fail and the game will return to day with no new players dead. (However, if the mafia knows who you are, it might roleblock you, in which case your action will fail.)

You win when the only living players are town.
2 players will receive:
You are a
mafia goon
, with
[...]
. The two of you can speak freely at all times.

Each night, you can choose a player to kill--please also specify which of you will be carrying the kill out. In addition, you share a single roleblock that either of you can use on any one night in the game. The same mafiate can kill and roleblock a player on the same night, and this takes priority over the jailkeeper's action.

You win when at least half of the living players are mafia-aligned, or nothing can prevent this from happening.
Alignments are distributed according to the percentage chances given in the opening post--that is, the 35% player is much more likely to be scum than the 5% player. See here for more setup information.

Do we let you know of alignment preferences publicly or by PM?

Publicly's fine, this isn't a secret. If people want, I'll give a chance after signups but before roles are out to swap their percentages with each other.

If this isn't close to filling by 5:30 I'm going to shuffle it back into the deck and try to run something else later.

All right, yeah, signups here are going slowly enough that wrangling everyone when it finally does fill is going to be more trouble than it's worth. I'm canceling this one.
