Nominate Chaos Diplomacy for best general mish mash game

Modded by Fluminator and Gale Wing Srock, this game was superb. It had some great politics going on, from the easy agreements to the north to the democracy being set up in Italy. It had some great players and the free press was a really nice twist that made collaborating to backstab much more challenging.

I forgot that existed...

It was a while back, but some of the play was absolutely superb and it is really well designed in general

Thank you all for the nominations thus far!

3rd Racefan12
for best new player <3

I'd like to nominate
Magic Kingdom for large social game
because it involved a lot of social aspects and a lot of really intriguing twists. I also thought the moderating was tops!

2nd Magic Kingdom
For a BvW non-anon, I think it went smoothly all things considered. And the one tribe I got to experience was the chillest tribe I've ever been on and that was worth it.

I'm sorry. Everybody here is an idiot.

The correct nomination is
1st--What Were You Thinking X!
Xalxe provided an excellent mind boggling opinion question. The opinion question is superior to questions that you see in an individual immunity that you see in Survivor.

What is your favorite sin of 7 Deadly Sin, players?

Obviously for Mashtermind nomination.

2nd/3rd: Eon
I think it was just a clean and artistic game. Don't know if Ani's 2nd counts or not so just in case.

3rd Chaos Diplomacy
that was an ambitious project, difficult to do, and exciting when they were pulling it off. I guess 3rds aren't as important as 2nds

Nominate Behind the Masks 2
. This one ended on the 6th of January so I think it counts? There's also a 3 but I didn't follow it. I don't even know if Lokiben is still on the site anymore but I always thought this concept was kind of neat, especially with everyone being different and everyone having to try and figure out who everyone was. I enjoyed playing in 2.

2nd BtM
That game was so much fun! I mean, there was that kingmakery bullshit, but the game design itself was great and it was one of my favourite games to play

Yeah, that's true. I don't think it's the most balanced thing (though that's true of Chaos Diplo, too) but it's a lot of fun for sure and so innovative (though that's true of Chaos Diplo, too). I liked how he was working with it and kind of testing different designs.

nth Identity

will the ceremony for this be separate from the main scummies forever?

Posted: Sun Nov 13, 2016 2:44 pm
by xofelf
No! We're currently working with Nacho and the rest of the scummies crew so that doesn't happen again, cuz that was sucktackular! As much fun as I had writing the ceremony, doing it all by myself was less fun.

Going to be biased and nominate Survivor Medevac Island for Best Social Game! It tried to do something nobody has done before with the whole stamina concept and pulled it off beautifully (stemming from my vast knowledge of past Survivor games, of course)

Nominate SummerinWondland
for best newbie. In Magic Kingdom, she played a relatively strong low profile game. Got voted out instead of me seemingly because of timezones. It was a strong debut, but even I couldn't have anticipated how great her next game would have been. I know shes spectacular, but I honestly never expected her to impress me as much as she did. Her game in medevac was calculated, incredibly social and honestly she played like a very experienced strong player. I'm amazed that was her second game (and really first anon?). She really played extremely well and I'm so proud of her. Think she really proved herself as a valid member of the mishmash community.

Second the fuck out of this
Jess is one of my favourites. Not only is she good, and HOLY SHIT IS SHE GOOD, better than me good, she's a legitimately wonderful person to be around. Both of her Survivor games were phenomenal, and she is only going to get better and I can't wait to be terrified of her in every game ever :]

3rd Medevac
if that counts. Mainly I think pablito and OGML deserve a bucket load of credit for the incredible game they designed. Every mechanic was well thought out, and every challenge used the central stamina mechanic in remarkably diverse ways, when I thought people would get tired of every challenge being stamina based. I think every modding decision made was well thought out, and I can't believe it was only pablito's first game. To top it off, the cast was incredible, every single person in the game was playing their heart out, which is more than I can say for even Eon. Barely any complaints from any players, and hands down the best game of the year in my opinion.

i think ur forgetting that #2016 was a flawless game with absolutely no problems and top notch modding and challenge design and there's absolutely no way it is anything other than perfect

tbh im being a bit facetious. i do think on the whole 2016 was absolutely the strongest year for games in site history. almost every game run was beautifully designed and executed. dunno about DBZA or BotB because i havent gone back to look at it, but at least #2016, Eon, and Medevac were all really quality

Ok I'm in support of nominating her but the reason she was voted out was not "timezones", and it's a bit deceptive to say it like that.

Well, it is true that we briefly discussed switching from her to hiplop but knew that Lia wouldn't be back in time. But you're right that her name was the one that came up first.

Bella said it was because I'm not allowed to like other people. :(

Super High School Level Nth on Medevac, SummerInWonderland and Grumpy our newbie overlords.
I would have been happy if Medevac was just the same stamina challenge every round. It was not, numbers were spent in new and beautiful ways. May 500 survivors with the same idea run! <3

It wasn't just the stamina system thinking on it, the tribe captains and the ways choices they made were relevant, the option to sit out of an individual immunity challenge with a minor reward which was taken by many people, the public idol that was thrown into the ocean, the heavily reduced PMing days which had multiple tribal councils publically talking about who to vote out, there were a lot of mechanics packed into that game and they complimented each other.
