felt corbyn edged the debate, dont expect much effect on the polls tho, maybe a bump for both of them away from smaller parties

i like how they changed the twitter handle of an official (and verified) account to "factcheckuk" to appear to be an impartial third-party fact checker and tweeted about how boris had won the debate in terms of being factually correct

Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

one of the polls puts labour 6 points behind cons which would almost certainly be enough

btw as much as i detest Corbyn, i'd be extremely happy if they can hang parliament and find a way to come to a coalition government.

the labour party has many problems, including corbyn, but let's be real here - food banks have gone up, the nhs wait times have gone up, class sizes have gone up, all under the tories' watch.

it's going to be like turkeys voting for christmas.

I have no idea who to vote for. My constituency is currently Tory however the election before it was SNP and the election before that Labour.

Given what our previous mp has done, I think at the very least Tories will not do very well despite being the clear frontrunners in terms of campaigning.

So who to vote for, 4 candidates in order of where they came in the last general election, 1. Tory - never. 2. SNP - if it's not about scottish independence then yeah, would be happy to vote snp but scottish independence could potentially fuck us up more especially if brexit goes through, 3. Labour - there is the Corbyn issue, never has one man held his party back so much. I'd vote them even though I dont think they have a chance in hell in our constituency. The candidate they have fielded is pretty poor in comparison having little to no previous political experience. 4 - Lib Dems, they had the biggest swing in our constituency for the Europeans, however are a distant 4th place here. The candidate is a long term local councillor and has done a good job. However, I hate Jo Swinson with a passion and I dont believe for a second she could win.

So if I dont want brexit, snp. If I dont want Scottish independence - Tories, but in terms of people I would vote for lib dems. Labour would probably give the snp an independence vote.

Parents are voting lib dems. I have switched so many times. I'm currently thinking SNP and then fighting against the next bloody referendum...

what constituency, poro? my take is you need to decide whether stymieing brexit/making sure tories don't get a majority is worth the potential for a second Scotland independence referendum or not. Because from a mainly defeating tories standpoint, vote the party that gives the best chance of that, and it sounds like that's SNP. If not, vote your conscience but accept that's a vote that, however likely inconsequential, might mean tories gain power.

My understanding is that the SNP are the primary challenger in all the tory held scottish seats.

i think sturgeon would support a labour government without requiring another indyref, fwiw. its polling poorly atm and the SNP key message this campaign has been stopping the tories. corbyn also is against it. tho it remains a long term goal of the snp.
LDs on the other hand insist they wont back labour under corbyn.

i don't think sturgeon pushes for it very hard if brexit is averted or substantially changed, no, but putting snp in position to be kingmaker does pose that risk.

LDs probably come to some deal with Labour short of actually joining government unless Labour wants to give up Corbyn. I think that's probably the right move for them. Alternatively, just let the Tories flounder even more in a minority government.

Still, this is all academic.

Aberdeen south, our mp will be remembered for two things, 1 being so pro Brexit despite 2/3rds of the constituents voting against it and 2. Getting drunk and groping people at the parliament bar.

I dont know how the coverage has been but for us the snp have been pretty focused on independence. Their is conflicting reports on what labour would do if they worked together in a coalition but a referendum would seem likely at some point.

So yeah... do you prefer certain brexit in the styling of Johnson plus all the other goodies that come with a Tory majority or do you prefer a messy coalition government with a chance at a second referendum? I'd vote SNP in this case myself, but obviously I have the luxury of not facing another independence referendum.

Turnout is reported to be very high. Particularly in London. Probably benefits Labour.

Anecdotally, my polling station was empty when I went.

mine was pretty empty but i did go at like 2pm so I'm guessing most working adults were probably busy

Though considering the very high average age of my constituency (vv old and white) I would've expected to see a fair few of them milling about? idk when old people get up though
