what even is MAFIA MARATHON: APOCALYPSE?
it's an apocalyptic-themed game played over the course of Marathon Weekend in its entirety! the game will start either when it's full or 24 hours from when this thread got posted, and it will end either when one faction achieves their win condition or when Marathon Weekend ends. the game will only have town and mafia players, and the exact ratio of town to mafia will be public information.
what happens if Marathon Weekend ends and no one has won yet?

how long are the deadlines?
there are no deadlines for the day! you can take as long as you want to decide on a lynch, but I recommend going in with a plan for how long you think the town should spend on each day. the night deadline is 3 hours long!
3 hours isn't very long for a night deadline. how am I supposed to make choices in that amount of time?
well, you have two options there. either you can find a hydra partner who lives in a different timezone who can play while you're asleep, or you can send contingency night actions (e.g., "if xyzzy flips scum, investigate the worst; if xyzzy isn't lynched, investigate xyzzy; if xyzzy flips town, investigate mith"). you can also do a combination of these two things.
I'm interested in finding a hydra partner. how do I do that?

wait, if I'm playing in this game all weekend, how will I play other marathon games?
part of the goal with having this game take place all weekend is that it fills in the gaps between other marathon games; if another marathon game starts up that you want to play, no one will get mad at you if you go focus on that for an hour instead.
