I wasn't happy to see the torque shot get claimed immediately

the kill idea was mine though and I will defend that

I think just not shooting them right away instead of waiting a bit longer or shooting an unreadable slot is better in that situation.

You can try to see what their reaction is to your claim and if they adjust it in a way that you feel like isn't scummy and is natural then theres your answer

If the answer is yes, I think waiting is almost exclusively better, but I don't blame you. You were in a Hydra with bitmap

I had an unusual drive to try to get shit done on night one that I knew wasn't going to be a thing later on

it was pretty clear just from day one that I was never going to have the willpower to care enough on any other night to actually try to find a kill

This mostly, I'll always be in the camp that holstering is the right play.

I think at the time though I was just mad because torque was my only true townread and it would have made blocking easy having them around.

this game was just fucking weird in general

I don't think I've ever seen a game before now where I felt scum were just better at channeling town than... well, basically anybody from town

usually there's at least 2-3 people that I can just tell are town and this game it just happened to be the entire scumteam

I mean hey Alyssa its a game of mafia on mafiascum
if you wanna play to have fun more then you want to play to win (not saying that your actions aren't playing to win but rather you can't really play to have fun and play optimally to win at the same time) then you can do that!

Its not like thats bannable because mafia is a casual game

I think the one thing that makes me think of you as a good player is the fact that you have your own playstyle that you understand so well.
Just being able to form a playstyle that works for you and then trying to learn and understand that playstyle as much as possible can only help you.

The reason I add that to Y&T role is because there were 3 possible vigs in this game. So I kind of like throw in conditions to each of them. Each of those comes from a surface of flavor.

...and it didn't work out that well, along with other issues. Maybe I should have had something of less impact.

I take all the blame for this and at least thanks for being in the same ride with me. I'll try to be better at the next one. (If you're tired of my shit now I don't blame you, I deserved it)

And I'll promise I will come up with safeclaims in the next one. Two past games make me realized that I should have done that long ago.

Thanks for the game, Tatsuya. I feel like I was significantly harsher than I should have been. I enjoyed the one-way PT mechanic, although I feel as if I was the only person that used it.

The PTs idea actually came up around the time game goes on signups. Probably to try to 'justify' the hidden mechanic
which should have been made clear in the first place
, I think? (At first I was just going to shuffle and forget about the rest.

As expected, only a few of those PTs are used because I think it feels a bit pointless to use those and it adds too much work.

Also I have to get rid of that PT galore in designing setups from now on. I have been adding too much hoods to my games.

Because I admire you and your moddings. And I just want to make games that could satisfy the players. (Though I'll admit I centered myself but you get what I mean)

And I am pretty sensitive to complaints and mistakes. (kinda like OCD?) Although I failed at improving myself most of the time LOL.

Legit though Alisae I just put a lot of emphasis on figuring out how right or wrong I am in any specific situation rather than just being right

In my experience that drastically improves your odds of being a benefit to town rather than a drawback

Too many mechanics is also difficult to handle as a moderator. The longer I stick around, the more sold I am on subtlety.

That said I think you had some very creative roles, Tatsuya.

It is 100% okay to admire and respect people for their modding.
You can’t just admire though. If for example, you aspire to make games like me, then look at my games and study them. What went wrong, what went right. What did the players like about the game, what did they hate about the game. What worked and what didn’t work.

Then apply it to your own games. Thats how a game like A Hat in Time was created.

Its okay to still be learning.
To a point, we are all still learning.
Just learn how to value each game you mod as a learning experience
