SBomber could become a Self-Bomber, maybe. As in, instead of waiting to be killed by a nightkill and exploding, actively taking it upon themselves to explode as a bomb, taking someone out with them.
I’d say “dying in
sympathy
or
loyalty
” would be preferable to “grief” since it pretty much already implies
”suicide”
anyway.
I like self-bomber though.

This could be another possibility.

Lovers I think just do the “dies of grief” thing and it’ll be fine
S-Bomber can probably be called an Activated Bomb since the bomb is a role that takes the killer out with it and S-Bomber dies to take someone out with them so it fits imo
S-roles in general I think should be handled as well, I like the “Doomed” name for that

You need to include that the player who submits the action also dies, otherwise it’s just a regular bomb which only explodes if that player is
passively
targeted by an NK where as S-bomber/self-bomber/
suicide
bomber is an
active
action.

While "Targeted Bomb" does sound nice it makes use of an undefined modifier so I don't really like it too much. "Activated Bomb" is just a role that kills their killer only at Nights they choose to act as a Bomb, not a role that chooses to kill a player at the cost of dying themself.
I'd suggest "Fireball" (or "Magic Missile" if you want to go with a non-elemental spell for the same metaphor) or "Self-Destructor", leaning toward the former.
Why not just Sacrificial Vigilante?
Honestly I still like that. It uses an existing role, makes a new modifier that can be used for other roles, and gets the point across without confusion.
I was thinking about it and flavour is nice, but we're writing a role not building a setup
I would suggest just "Missile" as the unique name for Sacrificial (Day) Vigilante so it will be less fantastical (while still being fantastical) than "Magic Missile".
This was bothering me too. A while ago, I threw Quitter onto the wiki as a pre-emptive term replacement for a very similar problem to the one being discussed in this thread (so that I could put a Compulsive Quitter into a game without having to name it something else).
I like the idea of Sacrificial as a flavour-name for what would currently be Combined Quitter.
My biggest problem with giving Quitter a name is that people might come across the role on the wiki and be tempted to use it. And saying that Quitter is a role you should only use if you know what you're doing would be an understatement.
Also, does Combined work that way with non-targeted roles? Could you have a Combined Tracker Activated Commuter that commutes if they ever track anyone? That's a bit weird.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!
