Special Rules:

• Mafia will have Daytalk.
  
• Plurality elimination mechanics.
  
• The Mafia has no factional kill.
  
• Each night, the Mafia must choose two living players (or else two will be chosen for them at random). The next morning, the town will receive an investigative result on those players, determined randomly in the following manner:
  
• Moderator arranges the two names in playerlist order.
  
• Moderator rolls 1d2. On 1, a true (innocent or guilty) result should be given on the first player; on 2; a truthful result should be given on the second.
  
• Moderator rolls 1dX, where X is the number of living players. If the result is less than or equal to the number of living Mafia, the remaining player should be declared guilty; otherwise that player should be declared innocent.
  
• Moderator combines these two results into a disjunctive statement, i.e. "Player1 is innocent or Player2 is guilty," such that the statement as a whole is true. This statement is revealed publicly to town when the following day starts.

1. Site Rules
   - Follow all site rules. Please review site rule changes.
2. Mod colour
   – My mod colour is
   orange
   (#FF8000); don't use it.
3. Behaviour
   - Be respectful. This is a heated game but toxicity will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player. If your fellow players tell you to stop, you must stop. If you do not stop, I will tell you to stop. If you still do not stop, you will be force-replaced. Asking people to stop voting you or to stop scumhunting you entirely doesn't count for this rule and you may find yourself eliminated if you try it.
4. Don't talk about ongoing games
   - You may not talk to each other about this game outside of threads I have created for this purpose. You may not talk about other ongoing games in this thread.
5. Text
   - Text should be legible (keep it 70+ please) and should not be hidden behind cryptography. Breadcrumbing is fine.
6. Provable randomness
   - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
7. Confirmation
   - You have about 48 hours to confirm your role and your alignment by PM. Game will start sooner if 7/9 players confirm. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation.
8. Days
   - Each Day phase will last 7 days. Night will be 48 hours. Extensions may be granted at my discression.
9. Activity
   - You must post at least once every 36 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will replace you. If you come back before I find a replacement, you can stay. The activity timers run at half-speed on weekends. Players can request me to prod somebody early. This will only count as an official prod if you don't post before you would have been due for a prod. If you haven't posted in the 24 hours before the thread is locked for night, you must reply to the night start PM or you will be replaced during the night. You will also be replaced if you are prodded 3 times total
10. Vacation/Limited Access
    - If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare V/LA in bold in the thread like this:
    @Mod: I will be v/la until Thursday
    . While you are V/LA, you will be nudged once every 54 hours. Two nudges equals one prod. If you have not posted game advancing content in 5 days, regardless of V/LA status, you will be replaced.
11. Prodging
    - A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer.
    
12. Replacement
    - PM me if you wish to be replaced out. Angleshooting (speculating on alignment because of replacement) is not permitted.
13. Quoting
    - You may not quote (or copy paste) any private information into the thread, including your role PM and any mod communication.
14. Notes PT
    - Let me know if you want a private thread to store your thoughts and feedback for the other players. This thread will be made public immediately after the game. You may draft posts in your notes PT but you may not talk about your notes PT in public. You definitely may not use the notes PT to demonstrate that you've had a town mindset in private all along; just put your town mindset in public to begin with and keep your notes to yourself.
15. Voting
    - Votes must be in bold in the format

    . Strong preference for using vote tags instead of bold tags. Unvotes are nice but not required. If I think it’s a vote, it’s a vote, no tricks. Type VOTE: Marashu to vote and UNVOTE: Marashu to unvote. Votes in spoiler tags will not be counted.
16. Elimination
    - Eliminations will be by plurality. If there is no majority by deadline, the person with the most votes will be eliminated. If multiple people are tied, the person who received the final vote first will be eliminated.
17. Night
    - Nights will last 48 hours unless all living players request fast night.
18. Action submissions
    - You may submit actions via PM or PT. Actions must be received by the deadline. You can change your mind as many times as you like before the deadline.
19. Claiming Scum
    - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
20. Rule Changes
    - I may add or modify additional rules at my discretion. Everyone will be notified via PM if this happens.
21. Play to win
    - this particular game, not some future one, and keep it fun!

If X gets eliminated, it confirms that X's result was true, it does *not* confirm that Y's result was false.
Since "X is innocent" is true, that means that "X is innocent or ..." is true regardless of what comes after the or

My take on it is elimination doesn't fully confirm but could in some scenarios. Basically if X flips the opposite of their result it shows that they were the random one therefore the other result is reliable. But If X flips the same as their result you don't know much more about Y as X's result could have been reliable or random.

It seems like it could be somewhat risky for scum to include scum in the investigation targets as there's a chance (1/3 chance right now but will vary depending on elims) that two guilties get returned and then we'd know at least one of the two is scum.
