Finally, congratulations to the scumteam. I don't have too many game comments. I thought HEM started off rough and then kind of pingponged back/forth. Congrats on having me slot you on the town half of things!

skitter/Ydrasse solid as usual, etc.

That much is true.

How much were you scumreading me while we were talking N1?
Eh. I wasn't really actively trying to sort you. I'm not going to front and say you played bad (you were the most convincing member of the scumteam imo), it just wasn't in my mind because it didn't feel like a worthwhile endeavor. Some of the stuff at the end of night might have been a little forced but that's only with the benefit of hindsight.

Fuck. Sorry, everyone.

Given I got the (in retrospect terrible) Inocilation choice in just minutes before the elim I don't feel like "we had plenty of time" is really a reasonable complaint though. Wish I'd chosen better.

I'm dipping for tonight. PTs in the morning, and hopefully a bit more flavor, too. I don't like to redact but if you absolutely, positively must, you have like 10 hours to post in the thread or PM me.

Thanks for playing, everybody, I really enjoyed all of you. And a special thanks for my co-mod, the duck, for always lending me his ear.

putting someone at E-1 before you and your partner finalized an inoc choice is really bad play and incredibly frustrating for everyone else.

I think even inoculating the dead person who is being eliminated is better atp than hipshooting.

hope you get better soon.

You were the one who placed him at E-1 to begin with, which is what lead to the day getting cut short.

realistically we needed to get all of town online and ready to blitz whoever the recruit was.

and it would have to be a coordinated town quickhammer at a time when monkey was offline so he could not submit a recruit choice.

leaving votes on was very bad

i think town only really came back from this if HEM didn't work out how to suicide carry in his position and tried to play a longer game. unfortunately he worked it out in time. :P

I strongly believe you to be an alternate account of someone I do not feel safe playing with. There is no way to convince me otherwise. I apologize if you are someone who has never played with me before and I am wrong. If you're not that player, it's not personal. I just will never be able to shake the doubt.
I'll retract this accusation and apologize for making it.

Every part of me wants to leave the request intact, and explain that it is not your fault but my own if I look twice over my shoulder, and my loss if I let paranoia prevent me from playing with you.

It would be wrong to do so. I will take you at your word that you are not someone that post 820 applies to, and that I greatly wronged you by making the accusation. I am sincerely sorry, and you are welcome in games with me at any time if you still desire to play with me.

From the journals of sir Cal Holland.
As I write this, my hands tremble from the harrowing encounter we have just had.

As the sun set and we returned to base camp, one of our groups chanced to pass through one of the clearings just outside the far reaches of these ruins, under a dense canopy of trees. There, they chanced upon a lone, lanky figure hunched over the body of a vaguely humanoid creature. It may have been a monkey, but that is hardly the point. Upon drawing closer, they realized to their horror that the figure was that of our very own Jeffrey Elvington, the provisioner. This man, so renowned for his palate and his ability to make an, if not scrumptious, then at least palatable, meal out of almost anything we came across, was devouring the organs of this poor creature.

One of the party gave a start, upon which Elvington turned on the group and, in a fury, gave chase.

I simply do not know what I would have done, had I been among those attacked by Elvington in this way, so I cannot offer any sort of judgment for what came next. They fled toward our campsite with Elvington in crazed pursuit, howling and snarling at their backs. They reached the safety of our encampment, where several of our party (myself among them) were already making preparations for nightfall. Elvington charged into our midst, whereupon several of the men in the group fell upon him, restraining him and holding him to the ground. Any sane man would know he was beaten, but this man continued to claw and bite and hiss with a fury surpassed only by the wildest of cornered animals.

We tried to talk sense to him, but it was no use. Finally, Leonard Sangster, our armsman, pulled his pistol and shot Elvington in the head.

Of course, we were horrified, but Sangster merely pointed at the dead man – or what should have been a dead man. A strange smile curled Elvington’s lips, and he hissed in what seemed almost to be pleasure. Then, from the bullet wound in his forehead, came a horrific procession of worms, maggots, and tiny insects. Only when this troubling flood had ceased did Elvington stop moving and succumb to his untimely death.

We have surmised that Elvington became afflicted with some sort of parasite, but we know not how he came by it. We have since tried to piece together his doings so that we could narrow down the source of this infection, but owing to the confused state of our camp and our difficulties in mapping this site, it has proved quite impossible.

If he was, in fact, infected by something here at these ruins, there is no telling who among us might also be afflicted.

With this troubling thought in mind, I shall try to sleep, but I fear that may be difficult.
