Fish pond has been paid for. Robin will begin her work on building it tomorrow.
We now have a total of nine tappers; three each.
We smelted some copper and iron. Inventory will be five iron bars short (as they'll be in the furnaces awaiting pickup).

I did do some chopping in Cindersap Forest as well, and took advantage of that trip to stop by the traveling merchant. No blueberries today.

Glittering waters

We took the path through the mines to get to Robin's. On the way out, we noticed Willy standing on the bridge over the river to the mines. We also noticed that the

large boulder

that was previously blocking some of the water's flow was now gone.

Willy didn't know how the boulder vanished, but he did know that the mountain lake's water source - and the river below - comes from the mountain. With the boulder gone, the flow has increased - and the water arriving is from a greater depth. We may start seeing ores from the mines flow into the river.

Willy gave us a

Copper Pan

, and encouraged us to use it to try panning for ore once in a while. If we see any

shimmering spots

, that's where the ore is.

We can now pan for ore! This can only be done at specified locations. The pan takes up an inventory slot, so let me know if I should carry it around or not.

One thing I need to remember - when we get random food dishes mailed to us from Gus, it sometimes changes the dish in between when I preview it and when I actually get it. So instead of the Vegetable Medley, we got a Spaghetti instead.

We were low on funds, so I sold pretty much everything we harvested, plus Gus's spaghetti.

Since today was a lucky day, I opted to hit up Skull Cavern today. I also visited Sandy and bought 40 Beet Seeds, with the intent on planting them tomorrow.
We spent: one Fried Mushroom (down to three), two? gold-quality cheeses (down to nine). We also used some of our spoils in the mines - cave carrots to stretch out the food supply, copper and coal to craft cherry bombs to kill mummies.

Seed maker successfully crafted. We've started making strawberry seeds, although three strawberries inadvertently got thrown into the preserve jars. We're roughly halfway through our original stock of strawberries - the seed maker works fairly quickly.

Extra chest successfully crafted as well. I'm going to start working on reorganizing our inventory over the next few nights. During this time, I'm not going to update the lists - not much point when everything's going to be changing location on a regular basis.

Beach Bridge: crafted! We now have access to the east shore of the beach. Lots of tidepools over there, as well as a pier over to the east. Didn't see much to interact with, though, other than a single wiggly spot (and we didn't have our hoe with us, so couldn't do anything about it).

Collect seashells: bleh. All we got was one single cockle, and that was thanks to the crab pot. Not a single seashell anywhere on either shore.

Fishing: we caught a few fish. Given the fish pond, I didn't sell our catch as usual.
I did reorganize the fish - this list here should be everything we have as of right now:
