Hi. I doubt that anyone would remember me but I used to play here years ago. I think I stopped in 2018. Anyway, I haven't played Mafia at all since then but I'm interested in getting into it again. Is it a bad idea to jump straight into games again? Is there a collection of the best games I could look at to refresh my memory on how you should play? Sorry if these are dumb questions
Two things to call out are
1) We no longer allow the use of the word "lynch" to describe eliminations. The use of the term eliminate or lim is preferred.
2) We're a bit stricter about out of game influence than we used to be. Things like publicly threatening to replace out or telling someone to replace are no longer allowed.
But mostly things are probably pretty similar to how you remember them.

Welcome back! It should be fine for you to jump back in and play.

Only five years? Lightweight. I didn't play for over sixteen.
You're far from the only person who's taken a break for years, just go sign up for a game. You can /in as new in the newbie queue if you want, while the newbie queue is still around.

It's not the easiest answer to accept but it can be applied to mostly any game as the best way to learn something is to throw yourself into it.
There isn't rly a good way to learn the game and I'm unsure of if I can genuinely recommend reading wiki articles to get better.
Each queues have their own metas depending on the players that play. The players that play in normals might not be the same that play in theme games. Normals in particular are known to house players that only play normals.
Players that might have been in TM games might not be in your playerlist.
So even if you did read a game it's probably not going to help you and you would most likely just be wasting your time.
