You possess a special clock item. At the beginning of the game, the clock starts at the 6:00 hour.
Each night, you may attempt to kill a player:

• If the player is town-aligned, the clock will advance forward one hour.
  
• If the player is mafia-aligned, werewolf-aligned, alien-aligned, pirate-aligned, etc., the clock will advance forward two hours.
  
• If the player is a third party (neutral or self-aligned), the clock will advance backwards three hours.

If the clock reaches or passes 9:00, you become 1-shot deathproof. This effect may only trigger once.
If the clock lands precisely on 3:00, you immediately die and lose.
If the clock lands precisely on 12:00, you exit the game in victory.

I typically rand roles the same way I randed the blackjack reshuffle (randomize both the list of roles and the list of players). If i had randed the original roles that way, then it certainly wouldn't be the case that Pooky was confirmed town.

The details were posted in the mod thread. Based on my interpetation of the role, there was no guarantee that everyone would receive a new role. The only guarantee was that the roles would be redistributed among the living players. Ranger and Jake The Wolfie ended up with their original roles redistributed to them, so they did not receive new role pms.

You would have remained a serial killer with whatever new role you got. You would no longer have the clock.

A town clockmaker would have received a new clock starting at 6:00, and it would have functioned the same as your role where tow would win if it reached 12:00. (It wouldn't have been able to advance though because town does not have a factional kill.)

A lot of these roles have quite some ambiguity, so I do think mod discretion plays a role in these setups. I can definitely see how you would interpret the role that way, and other mods may have the same interpretation as you did. You can always request clarification from the moderator about your own role during a game.

Roles got shuffled, you assumed it impossible for them to be shuffled back onto the same player and that the more likely option was a lie, when in fact I just didn’t get a change because my role randed unshuffled.
