I feel like AIR fare and TRAIN fare are pretty obvious. Other than that a fare is something that can be CHECKed, maybe also CAPped? I'm having a bit of difficulty in that I keep thinking of 'fair' words which I know isn't valid - but it's NM and rules are more like guidelines anyway?

I think use of a ski-lift is based on having a ski pass to get on the slopes in the first place, but I have no personal experience.

My really out there one itching my brain is TIME fare, but I'm not sure if it's a phrase I've heard once and forgotten, my brain getting confused with time share, or just something that sounds like it could be right to me that I've never actually come across. Definitely not one I'd want to go with over anything else

Yes, but our clue giver's reputation is well known. I'm aiming for being aware of it but not acting on it until something goes bad. I guess I'm throwing out stuff I don't want to say today but may be necessary to consider if we just can't work out what the last one is

.@ Farren, I feel like I've heard fare used interchangeably with ticket in some contexts which is I think why I'm a bit more confident than you on it. I think if we were first team I'd be more inclined to go with it but were second team and already ahead so long as we can match as many clues as they get so I'm more split

TIME is scalar, FIELD is a specific degree level maths term but I don't know if it relates to scalars at all

PART still feels kinda related to micro for me, and maybe also scalar because how much of a part something is a scalar value

You can scale the ALPS, but again that's weak homophone should avoid unless clueless stuff

So, the other two I said for Scalar were PART and FIELD. The fact Not Mafia said a zero clue about no cooking instead of a 1 clue for go for this specific thing makes me think these are at least not really bad. I'd be tempted to avoid FIELD because food but COOK is the obvious nope.

We had 1 left for Fare but I think that might have been HOTEL. We had 2 left for Micro, and while sand is small I dunno if BEACH would get us that clue.

We also know anything Capitalism related is probably at least not the assassin, if probably not ours.

It feels like it should be solvable - both relate to scalar and at least one if not both relate to micro - and it bugs me that it doesn't feel like two obvious answers

I'm pretty comfortable saying its not LOCH NESS, THIEF, MINT, GERMANY, COOK, or CAP.

I could see CHECK as in money for scalar but think probably not cos other team clues.

I thought LASER could be micro and I've heard of microBOMBs in genre fiction but neither really seem scalar to me.

Maybe there is some way GROUND in electronics is scalar but I don't see it personally.

Yes, there are 2 types of Special Clues a Spymaster may give
1) Infinite clue: This allows their team to make as many guesses as they wish (until they hit an incorrect word) But they don't know how many words relate to the clue
2) Zero clue: Again this allows their team to make as many guesses as they with (until hitting an incorrect word) But they know that the clue has nothing to do with their word...this is generally used if it's easier to group together incorrect words than the remaining correct words, or to push them away from a certain word that they've been talking about guessing

The point of both special clues is if a team has fallen far behind but they have lots of clues already on the table, they can pick up all the missing words from previous clues

My intent behind clues

You got chemistry right, I just missed oil and kicked myself, but if you are choosing between the two I think plastic makes more sense because it has gone through manufacturing processes

You got soup right, I was aware of oil at that point and it was a risk I was willing to take. Did not consider fly in the slightest

My original clue had been Jedi 4. Then Red hit space. I changed it to Skywalker cos Jedi are specifically the LIGHT Side ... and forgot that lightsabres were a thing. I was including cast in the clue there cos they are most strongly associated with films

Last one I originally intented to clue film for both plastic and cast. My intent was to say infinite to mean "your previous ideas are correct", I had considered film 3 (2, after red hit plastic) cos of the idea of a chick flick but I thought it was too tenuous

Africa, Egypt and Hollywood seem obvious. I like Moon and Cliff too but they feel like they carry a bit more risk. My outside guess would be Square, as in a village square or whatever.

For a third I can see Pit, Cliff or Ice (as in elements/pokemon types/whatever) but none of them feel great to me

Worms don't just burrow through the earth, the ones that do are specifically earthworms, that's super strong for me

The two i want where are Ice (which I think is just obvious) and Turkey (as in going cold turkey). They are both ones that have come up for at least one of us on previous guesses

If one of those turned out to be wrong, I could see Night > Cliff / Pit as stuff that works with previous clues and with cold but I see none of them are as strong as the first two

What I have is something like WATER, MOON > WATCH > ROULETTE, REVOLUTION

As possible weaker options I don't think I'd be comfortable going with but could see being connected is ROW because rowing the sport is a cyclical/repetitive motion, STOCK, cos the stock market is often seen as having cycles and the weakest would be COMPOUND cos there are cyclical chemical reactions?

I think Plane is stronger than Square, though it could be both. A square is flat cos it's a 2d shape, but a plane is the definition of flat, and also a tool you use to make something flat.

Other than those a Cloak can be just a flat piece of fabric so I could see that.

Out of other people's stuff I think I prefer Deck to Fence, cos a fence often has a decorative edge that isn't flat, or holes in the design or something, but a Deck in the sense of decking has to be pretty uniformly flat or else it's a tripping hazard.

I don't like Tag. Even if a clothes tag itself is flat it's specifically something that sticks out from whatever it's attached to.

So doctor could possibly be the second anchor clue. Decks are flat. So if BC has any familiarity with medicine, doctor is probably more likely than deck. Ship isn’t an agent and deck anything doesn’t automatically make me think of water or boats.

I’m scared of us guessing deck based off of flat being a blue clue.
