In the future, making players confirm their spot every time AutoPlay takes their turn for them would speed up the game a lot.

Yeah - initially the policy seemed to work out okay, but it wasn't designed to cope with someone completely disappearing after confirming their presence. So it does need to be changed.

I'm thinking something like this: After the first AutoPlay, player has to re-confirm that they're still playing once every 72 hours - but no sooner than once a turn even if that takes more than 72. Taking a scheduled turn, submitting a conditional order, or sending me a "hey, I'm alive and still want to play" PM all count towards re-confirming. Failing to re-confirm means AutoPlay starts acting instantly, and I start looking for replacement.

2) Extensions reduced from 4 to 3; however, players will only be charged one extension instead of two. Effectively normalizes extensions for everyone.
3) If AutoPlay is active, the player will have to confirm more frequently if they remain inactive.
4) Holiday policy is back. US Thanksgiving / Christmas will extend timers to 120 hours with 48 hour prods during the relevant times. Other holidays upon request if a player in the game is celebrating them - must be notified before the game starts, though.
5) AutoPlay's been given a slight IQ boost (hopefully).

cards wins. Cards left in hand don't count; Nobles acquired don't count.

Pooky played 12 cards over the course of the game; Snakes played only 9 cards. Snakes played fewer cards, so he wins the tiebreaker (and thus the game).

This makes life a little easier on me. This way I don't have to check for V/LA banners, signature notifications, or anything else like that - I can just go with one unified policy for everyone. Also makes the policy a little simpler - players lose one extension when their initial timer expires, rather than sometimes losing one vs. sometimes losing two.
