I tried to gambit but when you picked up the card I planned to play next round, I knew I was done for. That was probably my only chance unless a better card turned up in its place.

I was lucky that 5 diamond card popped up.

Someone could have stopped me from winning by reserving the winning card before I could play it.

If we get four players: we'll start upin 48 hours ASAP.
If we get three players: we'll start up in 96 hours.
If we get two players: we'll start up in a week.

I'll give this another three days; that'll make it a full week. If we don't have at least a third by then, it'll come down to either running it with two, adding me as a player somehow, or calling it off.

If we do get a third, I will start it up ASAP.

- Have me join in (I'd make the cards public knowledge and use a die to draw from the deck so we all have the same knowledge level and I won't know what card is coming up next)
- Wait another 48 hours, and give up if no one else joins.

If both of you agree on #1 or #2, we'll do that. #3 is the default unless a consensus is reached.

0 days, 20 hours, 19 minutes remaining. If time expires with no consensus and no third player, I will retire Splendor indefinitely.

I'll count that as consensus for #2, with the proviso that we wait for the timer to expire first. Which is fine, as I'll need some extra setup time anyway.
