Grover Cleveland was the first (and only!) president to serve two non-consecutive terms. Everybody knows that. However, that's not his only solo claim to fame! Which of the following was Cleveland the first and only US president to do?

A) Work as an executioner.
B) Be issued a patent.
C) Affirm the oath instead of swear the oath at his inauguration.
D) Die directly of cancer.

A is correct; Cleveland worked as an executioner at a prison in Buffalo.

Abraham Lincoln was the only president to have been issued a patent, Franklin Pierce was the only president to affirm the oath of office, and Ulysses Grant was the only president to die of cancer.

Celebrity chef Alton Brown is a devout Christian, although he doesn't talk about it too much. He did reveal in an interview that he has left his church because of the anti-gay stance of the Southern Baptist Convention. If Alton Brown is soul-searching about the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, then it's quite possible he's doing some soul-searching about the other Holy Trinity. If Alton Brown wanted to cook a dish that did not stick to the Holy Trinity of Cajun Cuisine, which of the following ingredients might he include instead?

A) Bell Pepper
B) Carrot
C) Celery
D) Onion

B is correct! LLD is right that it derives from mirepoix, but Cajun chefs replaced the carrot with bell pepper.

The Three F's of Fashion are Form, Fit, and Function. We just saw a question about the Gamma Function, and as LLD pointed out, it was a bad Gamma Fit for this game. However, we still have one F left! From a sartorial perspective, which of the following would be most interested in Gamma Form?

A) The Pope
B) Winnie The Pooh
C) Hulk Hogan
D) Waluigi

Winnie The Pooh doesn't wear pants; I don't think he's interested in anything related to fashion.

Waluigi loves Gamma Form so much, he even has a "Γ" on his hat!

Jane Goodall was the leading researcher of chimpanzees, not gorillas.

Dian Fossey was the gorilla scientist!

Fossey, Goodall, and Biruté Galdikas (orangutans) are collectively known as "The Trimates". Apparently gibbons aren't cool enough to have their own famous female conservationist.

There are lots of horror stories out there about homeowner's associations meddling in the affairs of people who just want to live calmly in their neighborhood. To make things worse, from a legal standpoint it can be almost impossible to leave an HOA! This is true in a geopolitical sense as well; nations currently in the HOA are unable to leave. If the United Nations was enforcing HOA policies in the HOA, which of the following citations might they issue?

A) South Africa's mailbox is an unacceptable distance from the curb.
B) China needs to paint the Great Wall so that it is an approved color.
C) Nigeria keeps mowing the lawn after quiet hours have started.
D) Somalia needs to move the boat and trailer they have parked in the driveway.

The United States is in the middle of a heat wave right now. Some states are lucky because they can cool off at the beach; 23 states border either the ocean or a marginal sea. The rest of the states aren't as lucky. However, some states are luckier than others. Which state would have to travel less than 50 miles to find itself at the beach?

A) Arizona
B) Arkansas
C) Vermont
D) West Virginia
