I wasn't even thinking of Dodge for some reason, but I think Runeblade would have beaten that anyway.

Also, now I can't Neutralizer through your Knives, which was the main reason I used it instead of Annihilator. I guess I could still catch a Dodge or a Burst, but those are nowhere near as threatening.

Yeah, the dodge was only for the Knuckle which was what I was thinking your better play was. I think Drive beat anything else (well, or clashed with Drive.)

No hurry with the last move. I hadn't actually noticed that you were using Neutralizer as your finisher (even though I typed or at least copied it,) so I'm going to take a look at the options you have and see if I really want to make that move I submitted myself.

Hmm, actually I'm not sure that the timing let's me do that. The pulse from the Force Guage and the UA both similar phrases "at the end of each beat," and "at the end of a beat." The rules for the force gauge specify that this means after all other End of Beat actions apply, but it's not clear if the UA does the same. If the UA is meant just as an End of Beat effect I can't do this; if it acts like the Force Guage's Pulse then I should be able to choose the order and this move would be legal. Let me see if I can get clarification on that on BGG.

Slayer's Burst

I don't think it's possible for you to hit me here, and Binding Knife could really help my chances of a comeback, even though that doesn't change the fact that I'll still probably be outsped pretty much every beat making that worthless.

I forgot exactly how terrible of a position I was in. I should also probably be deciding what character I want to play next, because I don't have any need to procrastinate, and it's a lot harder to procrastinate that hard when that would change the status quo rather than maintaining it.

Yeah, I somehow missed that Rasping was +0~1. I was considering Dodging to bait out the Knives, but I think that's all I could have done, and like I said I was in a really bad position to start off of anyway. If I had another health or two I could have used Neutralizer, but in that case you would have done something different, so yeah I should probably have just taken Annihilator for the versatility.

Anyway, I have no clue why, but right now I just feel like playing

I'll get back to Joal/Lixis later. I will also play Tanis again, assuming I don't completely flake before then, but today is not that day. Right now though, I'm thinking on focusing on these four characters. It's been a while, so I might change my mind, but for now that's the plan.

Also, how did the tournament go? I ended up being too mentally checked out while making a complete fool of myself in Mash's biggest sub-scene, and didn't end up following it.

Yeah, that wasn't an easy place to fight out of. A new game sounds like a good plan!

I'll go ahead and play Oriana to see what she's like! If you have a gmail account and would like to we can try out the spreadsheet for the next game. It's a nice presentation, gets rid of the need for spoilers and automates a lot of what we do (though not all,) but it doesn't allow for chatting as easily in a game that's spread out over days as the forum does. Let me know what you'd prefer.

For the tournament, I won the first game, but lost the next two for the first round. I wasn't in the right head space and played the last one just terribly (I blame the election if anything.) Then for the second round getting a time to play with my opponent ended up being difficult enough that we hit the time limit and I opted to be the loss as I still wasn't feeling the game that much. This will be the first game since then (other than the spreadsheet game I'll start with Accountant shortly.)

In any case, glad to see you back! A nice game should feel good I think. I'll be fairly busy with guests and whatnot over the next week or two, but I should be able to get a beat in here and there.

Anyway, I wouldn't know how to start a game like that though.
