I'm not sure of the technical terms n jazz...but like my tv is a digital tv from vizio with a built in antenna. When I first got it we didn't have cable and there is a thing in the setup menu where I could "scan over the air" to pick up both analog and digital stations.

I played around with it and didn't find anything different. Looks like it's just the 22 channels which is still more than I've had in six years so no complaints.
