Dropzone (Setup)
This game will be played in two teams of two in a series of rounds. One of the two players on your team will be assigned as the
Spymaster
. The Spymaster will be giving clues to the other member on their team to try and retrieve agents on the field. The Field
consists of 25 agent names (in a 5x5 grid). Some of these agents are for Team A

Assassin
.The Spymasters will be told which agents belong to who. There will be 8 agents for each team (one team will have an extra agent called the
double agent
, the double agent is given to the team that goes first to balance out the game), 7 Civilian

. Briefing (Game Overview)
The Spymasters will know the identity of all 25 agents. Their team mates will only know their names (seen on the field). Spymasters will take turns giving
1 word clues
. A clue may relate to multiple words on the table. When you submit a clue you will bold it with the number of words you are trying to relate. For example if you were trying to get your partner to guess "Nut" and "Bark" you might say Tree: 2
. The partner will then guess an agent on the field,
one at a time
. To submit a guess the partner will put Nut
. Then either Spymaster (or myself) can update the grid and post what the result is. For example if we use the clue above and Team A

If they guess correctly, they may submit another guess and continue guessing until they get one wrong
OR
reach the number the Spymaster stated (in our example 2). Once this happens the other team goes. The first team to contact all of their agents wins the round. Do this twice and your team wins! (So best of 3)Note:
As of Game 2 Round 2, Field Operatives are allowed to guess 1 more agent than the number their Spymaster gave them. So if they said Plum: 2
the Field Operative could guess a total of 3.The Mission...Should you Choose to Accept it! (Gameplay)
Rules for Spymasters giving clues:
-Clue must be one word, nothing more. No saying "This is a bit of a stretch...
Tree: 2
. Just stick with the Tree: 2
.-Clue cannot be any of the words on the field. For example you cannot say
Mafia: 1
to get any words there because Mafia is on there. -Clue must be about the meaning of the words. You can't use your clue to talk about the letters in a word or its position on the table. Gland is not a valid clue for ENGLAND. You can't tie BUG, BED, and BOW together with a clue like
b: 3
nor with a clue like three: 3
. Making Contact:
When the Spymaster gives a clue, his or her
Field Operative
(the guesser) tries to figure out what it means. The Field Operative will guess one clue at a time. Again please submit that like: Nut
. The team that has the double agent (ie 1 more than the other team) goes first. -If the Field Operative chooses a card belonging to his or her team, the Spymaster (either one can do this or myself) changes the grid to show what was revealed with an agent in that color. The Operative gets another guess (but not another clue)
unless

-If the Field Operative touches a card belonging to the other team, the Spymaster (either one can do this or myself) changes the grid to show what was revealed with an agent in that color. This ends the turn. (And it helps the other team.)

-If the Field Operative chooses a civilian, the Spymaster (either one can do this or myself) changes the grid to show what was as a civilian. This ends the turn.

If the Field Operative touches the assassin, the Spymaster (either one can do this or myself) changes the grid to show what was the assassin. This ends the game! The team that contacted the assassin loses.

Completing the Mission (Ending the Game)
Once a team reveals all their agents they win the round. Once a team wins 2 rounds that team wins! (If we have a queue they will face the next team). Spymasters will change in between rounds to get both players to play Spymaster and Field Operative.
