Anyway, this game has now stopped being fun. If the Ghost could consent to kill me, or if I can die by like, non submission next round or something, that'd be swell.

Sorry. I could have been less of a jerk.

This was an issue on my end. I joined the game expecting something lighthearted, and it quickly turned into, well, version two of Mafia. It was unfair of me to lay that frustration on you because it's simply a matter of bad expectations and likely me displacing some anger that has no place here. For what it's worth, I didn't mind the strategizing; what was starting to annoy me was the sense that others (not necessarily you) trying to control how the game was played, and that feeling may or may not have been accurate. In any case, that condescending post was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I can understand the frustration, and the post made by Charles was unnecessary and uncool, but in the future, if your expectations differ from how something is occuring, it would be better to express it in a manner that doesn't demean others expectations as lesser, especially in a moral manner.

Like I could give a damn if you told me "I find it more fun to do X" because that's like, that's whatever.

But to more or less go out and martyr yourself because you find the manner certain people play the game to be against some kind of unwritten rule that not everyone shares, implies some nasty things.

I'm sorry to be condescending and will try to be more respectful. Not trying to be controlling, just trying to figure out how to win. We can all have a better chance of winning if we work together, right? I was frustrated because the players are obviously not all on the same page about what kind of game we are playing here.

People are clashing because we have different ideas of what kind of game we are playing and what is the spirit of the game and whether things we want to do are helpful or do they actually break the game.

People were expecting this game to not be a game of mafia. The problem is that

this is a game of mafia

just with a different setup of roles and slightly different rules.

We have a scummy bad ghost that kills every night, another role that can protect people, and eleven vanilla town people that are trying to survive while trying to figure out who is who. The only difference is that the town does not get to vote to kill someone every day. Instead we get to choose where to hide.

So some people are trying to hunt down the scum like a mafia game. Others wanted a more light hearted non-mafia type game. I don't know what to say to resolve this. Maybe we can try to play it as a light hearted mafia game?

I can't really see an issue with LLD's plan, given it maintains the secrecy I was worried about (and since the ghost confirmed me as non-ghost, what a jerk I was TOTALLY GONNA HELP YOU OUT).
Right now I think the best thing to do is try and figure out if this format is salvageable~

Lady's plan is for everyone to hide in one of these two locations and to not claim your hiding place publicly in the thread. I don't know if everyone agrees with the plan. It will be interesting to see who follows the plan and who does not.

Cheery Dog is the Bad Ghost. When they said that they would be under the table unless all the villagers hid together that proves they are the Bad Ghost.

Cheery Dog loses, the Good Ghost wins, and Cheery Dog gets to choose which villager gets to survive to win the game on the last turn.

How are you all feeling about the game? It certainly seems terribly broken but I don't want to make any changes without all sides approving them. Let me know what I can do to make this enjoyable!
