In post 1, Save The Dragons wrote:On your turn you may take any action, and only one per turn. Any other player may doubt that action (if it requires a card to perform). If they do not doubt that action, you perform it, regardless of whether or not you have that card.
Example: I have both Contessa cards. I sayExchange. No one doubts me, so I perform the exchange actioneven though I do not actually have an Ambassador.
If someone doubts you, you either show them the card as proof, or you say you cannot. If you show the card as proof, they lose one of their characters. If you cannot, you lose one of your characters. When a card is flipped/destroyed/assassinated, that card is face up for the rest of the game.
Example: I have both Contessa cards. I sayExchange. Player A doubts me. I must flip over one of my cards since I do not have the Ambassador..
Example: I have a Contessa card and an Ambassador card. I sayExchange. Player A doubts me. I show that I have the Ambassador and am allowed to Exchange. I return it to the Court and draw a new card, potentially receiving my Ambassador back. Then I exchange. Player A now flips over one of his cards, revealing a Captain.
Certain actions may also be blocked. If this is the case, then these blocks may also be doubted in the same manner as above.
Example: I have an Assassin card. I sayAssassinatePlayer A. No one doubts my Assassin. Player A says he blocks my Assassin with a Contessa. I doubt that he has it, Player A is just trying to cling onto his miserable life. He shows me his Contessa. I lose a card. Player A shuffles his Contessa back into the Court and then draws a card from the Court.
Example: I have an Assassin card. I sayAssassinatePlayer A. No one doubts my Assassin. Player A says he blocks my Assassin with a Contessa. I doubt that he has it. He does not have a Contessa. He loses a card (and in this case since he is assassinated and cannot block it, he will lose his other card as well!)
