Also, can I just point out that the final 3 round is also.. kind of flawed? The person that got more bids in a tie gets shafted, and if there is a three-way tie (and it is possible: one item doesn't get to go to
anyone
)... what happens there? (This one is a lot less likely, but you never know)

Players don't break games. It is the rule set itself that is broken before the game begins.

Players should follow the spirit and not necessarily the letter of the rules as exclusions are very possible.

This is covered by the rules.

Standard tiebreaker (4) can be used on 8 since players are not going to be spending all of their coins in final 3. 9's tiebreaker is considered first though when there is a player that clearly won the most items

Anyway, given how much people want to try to break games, I've reverted to standard round elimination as per previous games.

The last variant was not necessarily flawed though as 4 and 7 cover it w/ the exception that I didn't specific which rule has precedence.

For that matter, rule 4 overrides 7 when conflicts occur.

Who knows what the spirit is? The spirit should be exactly spelled out in the letter of the rules.

It's like proper ettiquete and manners.

Though they aren't generally written down, you are expected to follow them.

There is a principle in quantum mechanics that says that any action that does not violate the laws of physics has a probability of happening.

The point is that when you are designing a game if there is a situation or a play that you don't want to happen then there needs to be a rule against it. That prevents misunderstandings and arguments in the middle of the game or the game being broken.

I'm genuinely curious what you were expecting to happen under your original ruleset
Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm
Strongly opinionated or barely invested, but a constant
You know the wind will always come back.

Still waiting on Klick.

I will roll a 10d100 if he doesn't give me an action. If you fail to submit twice, you will be replaced or eliminated.

Come on man, don't do public shaming shit. It doesn't get you results faster and makes me grumpy. You can express this same sentiment without giving names.

i prettymuch always start a coin game off in the twenties, i think it being close to the last one made it fail on me though.

well besides my first game where i overbid.
