Background
This game is inspired by an old Mish Mash game on this site.
In the game Survivor, once the merge happens, players are voted out one by one until there are only two (or three) players left. Then the jury (the players who were just voted out) votes to decide a winner. Each player has a goal: get to the end with someone they can beat. Usually, players will have conflicting goals and they'll try to convince the others to do what's best for them.
I thought it would be interesting to simulate this. All other factors (challenges, what makes someone a threat, even the jury itself) have been removed. This is only a battle of the jury threats.
The Game
Each player in the game is assigned a number from 1-10. All the players know each other's numbers as well as their own. This number represents how "threatening" someone is. The higher the number, the more of a threat they are.
There are no challenges in this game. Each round, everyone is given 48 hours to vote for someone. At the deadline, the votes are read and whoever gets the most votes is voted out.
If there is a tie, there is 24 hours for a revote. If it is still a tie, then the player in the tie who is the most threatening is eliminated (big moves!)
You can discuss this game in private, whether by PM, Skype, smoke signals, whatever.
The Jury Vote
At the final 2, the winner will be determined randomly, based on who is more threatening.
For example, if the final 2 was a 5 vs a 4, the 5 is one point higher, so the 5 would have a 60% chance of winning. If the 5 faced a 1, they would be 4 points higher so they would have a 75% chance of winning. If the 5 faced a 6, the 6 would have a 60% chance of winning (so the 5 would have a 40% chance).
For balance reasons, in the special case where the final 2 is a 10 vs a 1, the 1 will have a 75% chance of winning.
Even though the final vote is random, there is still strategy involved. Everyone is trying to make it to the end with someone they have a good chance of beating, just like a regular survivor game.
