What's really going to hurt is that you have Roethlisberger and I have Gronk so in order for you to fail, I have to root against the Steelers and I'm not emotionally prepared to do that.

(I also have Boswell and Bryant so hopefully Pittsburgh's success will also benefit me but FANTASY IS A CRUEL MISTRESS)

Yes. You need to win your league's Super Bowl to advance to L1. Because you made the playoffs, you'd be in L2 with anything short of that (barring a bunch of L1 people not coming back or a change in league size or promotion/relegation structure).

That's why consolation kind of matters, finishing 5th gives you higher priority to move up if L2 people drop than finishing 8th would.

Assuming nobody in L1 or L2 leaves the league:

L1:
1-8 stay in L1
9-12 down to L2

L2:
1-3 up to L1
4-8 stay in L2
9-12 down to L3

L3:
1 up to L1
2-4 up to L2
5-12 stay in L3

All that means is that priority to move up to L1 if anyone bails is 4th in L2, 9th in L1, 5th in L2, 10th in L1... and priority to move up to L2 if anyone bails is 9th in L2, 5th in L3, 10th in L2, 6th in L3...

Todd Gurley just dropped a deuce on my playoff chances. Four touchdowns ... yikes. It's a pity, because I'm definitely in it to finish with more points than both teams in the other matchup, and I would get Elliott back next week. His suspension's timing kind of boned me. I also really fucked up leaving the Baltimore D on my bench and choosing Gordon/Sanu over Shepard in the game he finally went off.

Oh well, hopefully I'll win next week and finish third.

I had intended to check whether Rodgers was for sure playing and putting Cobb in if so, and that change would have put the projection basically even right now. On the other hand, Sharon didn't play Kareem Hunt, which is the only reason I'm still even in this. Lots of points on the bench for both of us. Her bench is currently outscoring her starting lineup.

Yahoo only gives PP a 3% chance to catch Xalxe (because Gurley), with Evans needing 26.9.
