Move to the Conservatory

Suggest: White, Rope, Conservatory

I will be shown a card 100% of the time (deliberately) but it doesn't matter. Will make an accusation after this pending what card I am shown.

Damn I had it down to Peacock and Plum. Fuck having 3 location cards

Thanks SC for running such a labour intensive and finicky game, it was fun
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

I ripped sprites from the SNES game a few years ago, and with Tiled it made making maps super easy since i just had to click and drag where i wanted the pawns to be

thanks for the offer though :)

pedit: 3 location cards is a blessing when it's not in the Lounge or Conservatory honestly. i think the best spread is two locations and a weapon or suspect personally

I think Charles had all the information needed to win on his turn, NM also should have had the info, they were the only players who knew RC had the knife in hand before Katy's guess and could have POE'd the rope, everyone should have known the answer after Katy's guess. RC could have won if he didn't make a terrible guess on his last turn. TGP could have had a good shot with a bit of luck by going to the Conservatory instead of rolling the dice.

Also, sorry Sudo and TiaM for getting you replaced.

That’s what I thought too tbh? I was pm’ing SC throughout the week saying I made a huge mistake not guessing Rope/Knife because I gave out too much info

I guess? From back reading and looking at the guesses from different POVs (using my same note taking strategy):

From Charles's POV, he knew it was the conservatory and can very safely guess it's the rope (Technically I could have shown RC Peacock on the first suggestion, but then RC guesses Peacock a second time so it's unlikely), but he would have had to guess between White/Peacock to make an accusation. (He should have known it wasn't Green unless he stuck with the possibility RC guessed Peacock after being shown that card, since on the 6th suggestion TGP/Sudo could have only been shown Green if we assume the Rope was the weapon).

TGP had the game solved from his POV though since my guess (Peacock/Revolver/Conservatory) basically told him everything he couldn't figure out by being directly shown a card, but it required a lot of logic to work through that most people would miss unless they kept track of every single guess in addition to the normal detective sheet.

RC only knew the location, but his safest guess was Peacock/Rope/Conservatory anyway (He knew I had the revolver and didn't have the conservatory before his Plum/Knife/Conservatory guess, so guessing Peacock gave him more information. Rope is safer to guess than Wrench since if he's shown the wrench he gets less information about whether or not I have Peacock)

From N_M's POV he also knew it was the conservatory and that I didn't have the revolver, but it could have been White and/or Candlestick. Probably would have been safe to assume that Candlestick wasn't the weapon for the same reason Charles could have, but he still doesn't know the suspect (And before his last guess it could have been Green as well unless he was going with the assumption).

Assembler was probably the furthest from getting sadly, even if he made the Candlestick assumption he still had to solve White/Peacock and Knife/Rope.

so basically to win, Charles, Assembler, and N_M had to correctly assume I had the Candlestick, and RC had to make a lucky (but optimal) guess. TGP should have won technically I guess?

I feel kind of stupid overanalyzing a Clue game though >_> - Thanks again for modding SC!

btw i did find the assets I was talking about so I might set that up later this week (midterms lmfao)

I knew the Pipe, Wrench and Revolver so everyone should have, RC had the knife and you showed him the candlestick, so he should have already known the rope by POE. That also gives him Assembler having Green, so he should have had it down to White or Peacock with the Rope in the Conservatory, so guessing either of those would have won him the game.

And yeah, you probably should have taken the 50/50 guess, really everyone should have made a guess based on what they had after your previous turn, iirc I had it narrowed down to 6 possibilities by then and you guys all had more info than me.

Edit: Also, this is MafiaScum, if you're not over-analysing the games you're doing it wrong.

Oh, I missed how you cleared Wrench - that makes things a lot different

yeah, with guess 6 (TGP suggesting Green/Rope/Conservatory and being shown Green by Assembler), guess 9 (Not_Mafia suggesting Scarlet/Wrench/Lounge and being shown Wrench by TGP) and guess 12 (TGP suggesting Scarlet/Rope/Lounge and being shown Scarlet by Charles) in conjunction means that Charles could only show Scarlet, which means TGP could only show Wrench.

from a spectator's pov it could only have been Green/White/Peacock and Rope/Knife (with the candlestick assumption being made obviously), so that's 6 possibilities and as far as I could tell none of them contradicted so that sounds about right

i guess what i need to think about for next game is what a spectator/my opponents know, guessing peacock and conservatory without making a weapon guess gimped me a lot more than I would have liked it to and I probably would have seen why if I was looking at what everyone knew. picking optimal guesses is still something i have trouble with in Clue, but i've usually never worried too hard about it because most people I play with don't put as much work into note taking so it evens out.
