I don’t know too much btw, but I do DM Pathfinder, which is not that different. Plus I pick up on this stuff really fast.

Thinking either a MPD bipolar wizard/cleric with this cool switch effect we could discuss or a dumb brute barbarian. Because let’s be honest, when your vocabulary consists of minimal words, you’re hilarious. Am i rite?

ill think about a character after i knew the setting/module/starting level

there's a few multiclasses i wanted to try but ive also never played a pure spellcaster like sorc or wiz so that's intriguing to me

Put me down for experienced if we do two groups. I would be fine helping the newbies, but I am by no means new to 5e.
I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.

I think you might be confusing 3.5 and 5e. 3.5 and Pathfinder are heavily compatible and crossover is easy. 3.5/Pathfinder and 5e, however, are largely two different systems that, beyond general d20 rule stuff, don't really have much crossover potential.

How does everyone feel about player characters dying?

Also, two groups seems likely but they probably won't have a veteran/newbie split. I'll do my best to help newbies learn as we play though.

It's fine as long as it isn't excessive.

I’m okay with dying as long as it’s kept in pretty good check.

I'm playing 3.5 in a group (since most of us are new) and it's enjoyable. I'm reasonably intelligent so I don't think I'd have a hard time picking up 5but I could see where more experienced players might get frustrated with someone that's learning a bit still. Also I think that if the party is TOO BIG the game might be hard to handle? idk. I'd be fine sitting out or being in the newb party or w/e.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I've also given much thought to this, and I am withdrawing my Probs ranger statement before. I still don't really like any of their subclasses. How are rangers still so boring?

PEdit: Nero, I switched to 5e because it's easier to understand than 3.5

5e please.

Also HIGHLY support PCs dying if they do something stupid. Game should have real stakes.
