With that, the round ends. Cheery Dog has reached 7 points and becomes the winner.

Sorry Agent Sparkles, you were just short! Thank you for playing but you have been eliminated :/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't Landfill take away a point from Gardens and Gallery each so he has 6 points?

I still feel bad about allowing the windmill build to go through, but I did see it before Mallow posted the next lot of supplies, but wasn't sure if he would have counted it or not.
I did know I was winning upon seeing those supplies though. (if you bought the co-op I would have locked up the supplier for the round by buying the bridge)

The gallery currently doesn't provide me with any points. as per the rules (even if it was built), it can't give negative points.

I have no idea why the landfill card doesn't say on it minimum zero though.

It doesn't, that's the point. I was assuming that you would have one less point overall for each of them.

Like that was the entire point of this question:
In post 172, Agent Sparkles wrote:Quick question. Does one of my plans count as being in my Neighborhood if it's not built?
The un-built Windmill was the only leaf card I had and I was told through PM that I'd only get 2 points for the Landfill.

I thought he was clarifying that with you after I disagreed with him telling me the landfill was only worth 1 point to me.

I declare that I lose. If what happened to Sparkles happens to me, I should be set to win FGN2 now.

This is what I sent you Sparkles after:

because I almost didn't buy the landfill after he told me that information. - Only ended up doing it when I realised you had first turn and I wouldn't be able to get to seven quick enough when you could build the windmill.

How to play:

A PDF form of rules can be found HERE or if you like to have someone talk to you, a video can be found HERE

How this specific challenge will work:

The goal of the game is to be the first to control 18 supply centers

The game is split into phases that are treated as years. Each year has a Spring phase and a Fall phase. During each of these phases players will negotiate with other players to decide what they will have their armies and fleets do.
For this game outside communication IS allowed
so feel free to message other individuals. After the Fall phase players will count their supply centers and either lose or gain units depending on if they have gained or lost supply centers since last year.

Orders:

When writing orders you have several options. You will specify if it is an Army (A) or a Fleet (F) (though it will be obvious from the unit currently in that location):

-Hold: The unit will remain at its current location

-Move: The unit will attempt to move to a new location. If no other units attempt to move to that location, your unit will occupy that location. If there is a tie of power however the units will "bounce" and neither unit will move there. To overcome this, you will need to support a unit there, explained in a bit.

-Support: A unit may assist another unit in moving or holding its position. If this unit is disrupted however the support will be cut off.

-Convoy: An army may move across a fleet to another land location if the fleet submits a 'Convoy' order and is not interrupted.

Retreat:

If a unit is dislodged it will be forced to retreat to a different location. A unit cannot retreat to a province which is occupied, the province the attacker came from, or a province that was left vacant due to a standoff.

Game Over:

The game ends when a player has 18 supply centers. If a stale-mate happens then both players will be winners. The top 3 players will all receive immunity. The top 2 will receive an advantage in the next
Round Table
.

Players who have 0 supply centers will be the losers of the match. If there are more than 2, the winner will choose a loser to enter the Duel and that player will choose one of the other losers to challenge.

Charles, Vash, and Inspiratieloos won the last
Round Table
and have the advantage of their choice of country. All other players will randomly receive a country that is left.

If you have any questions please let me know!

The game will start on Monday, deadlines will be 24 hours but with Christmas coming this week I might extend deadlines as people are gonna be busy.

If you fail to submit within a deadline your units will 'hold' automatically. Once I have all submissions I will advance the game.

I don't know what I was supposed to think reading this. I asked whether I'd lose points for my green building, you told me I'd lose points on green buildings.

I get that the Assembler misunderstanding was on me but this... really?

This is where you buy the workshop. Even if you bought the Landfill your points would still be at 6. Cheery would have then bought the workshop and still won with 7. I think you were shy a point either way. I'm sorry about the confusion, I tried to clear up what I could.

redacted, I see the point with the landfill

GG Cheery. Sorry you got dragged in by my inactivity, I don't think I would've picked you. GL everyone

The point there is if you bought the landfill, I would have got the workshop.
Workshop + windmill = 3 points
Landfill +/- windmill = 3 points.

Can we start forming diplomacies now or what

It's probably a bit early given that we don't know who's playing what country yet.

It'll be interesting how the Family Game Night format will affect Diplomacy, because it doesn't really matter if you eliminate someone through a master-stroke of betrayal if they then just pick you for the duel.

I’ve looked at the rules for at least five times and I still have no clue how it works.
