Para[dice] Resort [ON HIATUS - Thank you for playing!]

PARA
{dice}
Resort

It's the arcade where you use your knowledge to play, and some luck to win.

OVERVIEWEveryone can join and play without having to /in. Game will be played in rounds. Each round, 5 questions will be asked. The players who correctly answered each question will get a spot at the ColorWheel Challenge. After every spot has been claimed, the ColorWheel Challenge will play, resulting in one of the players winning points and possibly a chance at one of the two Jackpot Chances, or maybe more.

As the name implies, all Challenges and Jackpot Chances will involve dice tags and/or picking a number. So there are a lot of luck involved.

Collect as many points as you can to get a spot at the leaderboard!

This game is based on a Japanese online game.

Question Round5 general knowledge questions will be asked in a round. Anyone who wishes to answer please reply by stating which of the 5 questions they would like to answer, and the answer to that question. Each player may only answer one question. If they are wrong, anyone else may answer. If they are correct, their name will be put on one of the 5 ColorWheels at random and I activate a randomizer to determine the payout for answering the question.
Spoiler: Question Payouts & Colors (1d8)
1-4 =
5 POINTS

5 =
LUCKY REROLL

6 =
BOARDWALK CHALLENGE

7-8 =
10 POINTS

The player's name on the ColorWheel will also be colored according to the payout (so if the player wins 10 points for answering a question correctly, their name on their ColorWheel will be in
red
.)
You'll see why this matters.
If Lucky Reroll is awarded, we roll a 1d30 to determine the bonus payout, which could mean instant Jackpot Chance! (Your name on ColorWheel will be
green
nonetheless.)
Spoiler: Lucky Reroll Payouts (1d30)
1-10 = 5 Points
11-17 = 50 Points
18-21 = Popcorn Challenge
22-25 = Boardwalk Challenge

After attempting to answer, whether they are correct or not, the player may answer again after 24 hours, thus claiming more than one Wheel in a round.
24 hours after the question is posted, each unanswered questions will get 3 multiple choices to choose from.

COLORWHEEL CHALLENGEAfter all 5 wheels have been claimed, the game goes to
CO
LOR
WHE
EL
Challenge
. Only one of the five ColorWheels is played in a round. To determine that, a 1d5 is rolled, and the number that it lands on determines the wheel that will be played, and the player who claims that wheel is entitled to win a prize.
Then the 1dx associated to that wheel is rolled, if it lands on one of the HIT numbers, that player wins the prized according to the color of their name, then that wheel resets to its starting pattern. But if the roll lands on a MISS number, the player wins 20 points and that number turns into a HIT which increases the chance of hitting a prize next time that wheel is played.
Spoiler: Prizes for HITting according to the colors
RED - GOLDEN JACKPOT CHANCE

YELLOW - Mini Game+100 Points or Popcorn Challenge (1d2)

GREEN - 100 Points and JPC Step

BLUE - 50 Points and JPC Step

If 50 or 100 Point is won, 1 JPC Step is charged. The player who charges the 4th step will automatically go to the Golden Jackpot Chance!

Some wheels have a HITx2 number, which if landed on, the player wins double the payout! (Except if that player has a yellow name, then it is treated as a normal HIT.) (And yes, Hitx2 on red means TWO Jackpot Chance games.

EXTRA GAMES
Spoiler: Boardwalk Challenge
Boardwalk
is a challenge which could award Jewelry Jackpot Chance or a progressive bonus.
There is board with 32 spaces, and one lighted up space, that's the Boardwalk's current position. A 1d8 is rolled and the light moves down the board according to the number of spaces rolled. Whatever the light lands on is awarded. Most spaces will be Goal+, and if the light lands on those spaces, the Goal Bonus increases by that number (up to the maximum of 999) and the player wins 25 points. Landing on the goal space awards the Goal bonus to the player and the Goal Bonus resets to 100.

Spoiler: Mini Games
Mini Games are...well...mini games that everyone can participate. The games played will vary each time one is activated. Here are the list of possible games.
Timing 12 / Timing 24
- A timer (12 or 24 hours) will be posted and the player who posts "I WIN" first after the timer runs out (and only after it runs out) wins a random amount of points! (Timing 12 pays 300-600 points while Timing 24 pays 800-1200 points)
Drop Card
- during the next few updates, a card might show up, containing points or Jackpot Chances. The first player to claim the card gets the prize. There are a total of 5 cards in a run and one player may only claim one card per run.
Twin Treasure Box
- 20 treasure boxes are present, most have small changes, few have hundreds, two have Jackpot Chances and one have a BIG point value (500-1200). Each player may pick two boxes and earn the contents in both of them. Results will be revealed in 24 hours or after all boxes have been picked.

JACKPOT CHANCESThere are two Jackpot Chance games, each will be based on a 12-space wheel. Thousands of points can be won in these games!

Spoiler: Golden Jackpot Chance
The
Golden Jackpot
starts at 1,000 Points, goes up by 1 for every 10 points paid out in anywhere (except from Jackpot wins) and resets every time someone wins it.
The 12-space wheel will have each space start at 100, with the exception of the #2 space starting as a "CHANCE" space.
In this chance, the spaces keep evolving until a space is won.
Start by the player picks one of the 8 panels on the bonus board, which awards the player some advantages in the Jackpot Chance. The list of advantages are as follows.
1, 2 or 3 extra risk-free upgrades.
3 instant "200" upgrades (appears twice)
5 instant "200" upgrades
2 instant "CHANCE" upgrades
1 instant "JACKPOT" upgrade

After any instant upgrades are applied, the board will start doing upgrades. The first two upgrades are risk-free (plus any extra risk-free upgrades you might have got). Risk-free upgrades use d12, upgrading the spaces they land on.
After all risk-free upgrades are applied, we keep rolling dice according to the table below. If any number over 12 is rolled at any point, the upgrade ends and a final 1d12 will be rolled to determine the winnings.
Rolls #1-2 - Risk-Free (d12)
Rolls #3-5 - d13 or Risk-Free (according to the advantage)
Rolls #6-10 - d13
Rolls #11-15 d17
Rolls #16-20 d20
Rolls #21+ - dN where N=the number of the current roll

Now here's the thing: you can actually win a
multiplied
jackpot, as the upgrades are as follows.
100 > 200 > CHANCE > JACKPOT > JACKPOT X2 > JACKPOT X3
If at any point, a JACKPOT X3 space would be upgraded, then the whole wheel will be upgraded to ALL JACKPOTs with at least one of each x2/x3/x4 and x5 Jackpot spaces! (also we proceed straight to final roll)

Spoiler: Jewelry Jackpot Chance
In this chance, there are 4 types of jackpots.
Sapphire Jackpot
, which starts at 1,500 points and goes up by 25 each time after the Jewelry Jackpot Chance is played
Ruby Jackpot
, which is double of Sapphire
Diamond dackpot
which is triple of Sapphire
and
Je
wel
ry Jackpot
, which is the sum of all three (6x Sapphire).

The chance starts by the player picking one of the 8 panels on the bonus board, which determines the number of upgrades the player will have (5-12 upgrades).
Then the player plays the Sapphire Jackpot Chance, which if they are lucky, they will advance to Ruby, Diamond and Jewelry Jackpot Chance accordingly.
Each round has a set wheel layout, with the round's Jackpot space always at #2.

Sapphire = 1, 3-12 = 100 / 2 = Sapphire Jackpot
Ruby = 1, 3-4, 6-7, 9-10, 12 = 100 / 5, 11 = 200 / 8 = CHANCE / 2 = Ruby Jackpot
Diamond = 1, 3-4, 6-7, 9-10, 12 = 200 / 5, 8, 11 = CHANCE / 2 = Diamond Jackpot

During each round, the player may use one or more of their upgrades to upgrade one or more non-Jackpot spaces to a NEXT space. Keep in mind that the player only has as many upgrades as he got from the bonus board to use in all three rounds.
Then a 1d12 is played and if it lands on a NEXT space then the player advances to the next Jackpot Chance, otherwise, the chance ends and the player wins what the die lands on.

If the player is lucky enough to get to the Jewelry Jackpot Chance, then ALL spaces will become Jackpot spaces!
Jewelry = 1, 3-4, 6-7, 9-10, 12 = Sapphire Jackpot / 5, 11 = Ruby Jackpot / 8 = Diamond Jackpot / 2 = Jewelry Jackpot

In either Jackpot Chances, if a player wins a CHANCE space, they play the Treasure Chance, picking one of the 9 cards and win whatever it has. 4 of them have 100 Points, 2 have 200, 2 have 300 and one of them is the Treasure Rush feature. If a non-Treasure Rush card is picked, that card will be removed, giving more chances to hit the Treasure Rush next time! The cards reset after someone won the bonus.

TREASURE RUSHThe

feature, which could be won through Lucky Reroll or from Treasure Chance in any Jackpot Chances, is the feature which gives the feature winner a shot at hundreds or thousands of points while having a nice probability of getting a Jackpot Chance. As long as the player is lucky enough, the feature could go on endlessly.

The player who won the Treasure Rush will be given his personal wheel, which is not related to the normal ColorWheel (the player may still participate in normal play). The Treasure Rush wheel consists of 10 spaces as follows.
Spoiler: Treasure Rush Starting Layout
1 = GOLDEN JACKPOT CHANCE
2 = 100
3 = 100
4 = 100
5 = 100
6 = JEWELRY JACKPOT CHANCE
7 = 100
8 = 100
9 = 100
10 = 100

After each ColorWheel Challenge finishes, the Treasure Rush player
always
plays the
Treasure Challenge
, rolling a 1d10. If a "100" space is won, the player wins 100 points and that space becomes an "END" space. Landing on an "END" space ends the feature immediately. But if the player wins either Jackpot Chance, all "END" spaces will be reset to "100" spaces!

Now, here's a new rule. After 24 hours have passed, the unanswered question(s) will get a multiple choice to choose from.
I will now repeat the question. Answer this to take the final seat at the ColorWheel Challenge!

5. What future U.S. president was stranded on a desert island as a 26-year-old navy lieutenant in 1943?
A. Dwight D. Eisenhower
B. John F. Kennedy

New Rule (think of this round as a beta test, alrignt?): Each and every player, whether they have claimed a ColorWhee or not, may answer a question again (if any available) after 24 hours since their previous answer attempt (or if a new round of questions happens before that)
