There was once a goblin clan, simple and self-sufficient. Like many goblin clans, their needs and lives were uncomplicated and carefree, respectively. The only real concern was the occasional adventurer wandering through and killing them for XP.

For this particular clan, the

MAFIASCUM CLAN

, no adventurers had come into the area in many years. For this reason, the clan was prosperous and growing. One day, though, a goblin went out foraging in their usual area near a cave, and heard some strange sounds coming from within. This was the first anyone in the clan had ever heard of such a thing coming from this cave.

After some discussion among the elders, the Chief of the clan eventually decided he would explore the cave and make it safe for everyone. The Teller told him that she foresaw many more dangers than he would be ready for, so together they picked out six strong goblin men and women. After some training and a motivational speech, the group entered the cave, ready for the mysterious dangers inside.

rulesThis game uses a very simple set of mechanics. Each of the 8 goblins will be controlled by one player. Most goblins have the following stats:
5 HP (health points)
1 ATT (attack strength)
1 DEF (how much ATT you can take in 1 turn before losing HP)

These stats can be improved with items you collect in the dungeon.

The

Clan Chief

, who will be elected pre-game, will have the following stats:
6 HP
2 ATT
2 DEF

The

Clan Teller

, chosen by the chief, will have the commonplace stats, as well as the following ability:

Each turn, for your action, you may choose to heal one goblin in the same room as you for 1 HP.

Additionally, there may or may not be items that function differently when possessed by a Chief or Teller.

Each turn, all goblins will have

1 Move

and

1 Action

to do in either order, both of which are optional.

1 Move

brings you to an adjacent room. If this if the first time anyone in your clan has seen this room, this ends your turn.

1 Action

can be used to do any of the following:
-Attack a creature or object
-Pick something up
-Interact with something in the environment
-Move 1 extra room
-Trade items with a fellow goblin
-Inspect something closely
-Anything else that I feel would take your whole turn to accomplish

The following are

free actions

, meaning you can do them as much as you want on any turn:
-Moving within a room
-Talking
-Swapping an item you're using with one in your inventory
-Looting any number of items from a creature you killed or helped kill the previous turn
-Dropping any number of items on the ground
-Being generally aware of your surroundings
-Anything else that I feel wouldn't take any time at all

It's always everyone's turn. Whoever posts first acts first that turn (Also, looted items go to: [a player who killed the owner of the item on the previous turn] before [a player in the same room as the item] before [a player in an adjacent room]. This takes precedence over posting order).

Goblins cannot choose to attack each other. Your inventories are limitless but separate. Your group has a psychic link which allows you to communicate with each other and see each other's surroundings. When a goblin dies, they may magically send one item to another living goblin. The rest of their items must be buried with the corpse, SO SAYS CLAN LAW.

I will be posting M/W/F, usually in the EST afternoon. If you don't post between my posts, your goblin doesn't move or act. If you need to go v/la, you can elect any player or non-player to post in your place till you get back.

The dungeon is dangerous, and some things should not be faced alone. That said, this game will feel slightly silly if the eight of you stick together as one group the entire time, so feel free to go your own way.
