I'm not exactly sure what is I need to do with this to make it work, but I would like to use Charm Person on the guy who looks most in charge, cuz I think I could use this to then casually suggest they go away? I'm not sure how any of it works so feedback is a good

That works. You would first cast the spell, then say something and make a persuasion check with advantage from teh spell.

Well I also mean, is this one of those spells I have to roll for, or is it a straight up I say I'm casting it and they just have to pass whatever check for it to work? I barely use spells ever so I'm never sure what means what

Okay, sweet. Sorry, my sister has been in town and been busier than I expected.
Ilyana is going to cast charm person on the guy who looks most leadery or barring that, least paying attention to her.

Dunno if there's an easier way to roll for advantage/disadvantage here, so if there is, lemme know.
Original Roll String: 1d20+51 20-Sided Dice: (16)+5 = 21
Original Roll String: 1d20+51 20-Sided Dice: (11)+5 = 16
