I would offer to help fight the leprechaun, but since you are winning I'll just
pass
.

If someone else plays a card to make the monster win, my offer to help in exchange for a treasure still stands.

Also, mizzytastic, while not required, you have the option of asking for help even though you don't need it, if you would like a player in the entrance to move with you too the mud room, keeping in mind you can only ask for help(now or in the future) if a player is in the same or adjacent room.

Rules wrote:Help and Interference
Other players may get involved in your combat, either to help you
or hurt you. This can be the only way to deal with a big monster . . .
but you shouldn’t expect the other munchkins to help you for free
(see Bribes, below).
Asking for Help
You can have only one Helper. Choose wisely.
No one can help you unless invited. You can ask anyone who is in
your room or can reach your room (see below) to help you fight.
Munchkins who can reach your room by magic are also eligible to
help. The player who accepts your invitation is called your Helper.
Moving to Help
To reach your room to help, a munchkin in an adjacent room may
go through a passage or any kind of door. This is an example of moving out of turn (see p. 6) and costs no Move. Until you choose your
helper, no munchkins are moved.
Once your helper moves, he must help.
Players who can’t get to your room may still be able to interfere
(see box), but they are not in the combat.

Did you count the -1 from the leperchaun card?

Oh right, the except only applies to monsters so it would apply to Mizzy, so that makes it 9 to 9 and the monster is winning. Sorry for the miscalculation.

Ok Mizzy, would you like me to help you fight the leperchaun? I'm asking for one treasure card.

You would also typically say weather it would be first choice or second choice.

I would do it for a second choice.

I would happily accept your help, unless someone out there is up to doing it for free.

For clarification, if I pass can I then react if someone does something to make me lose again?

You can react by playing a card or running away. You cannot change who your helper is once you have agreed.

I wanna give everyone a chance to say something before deciding on help, but Charles' offer is very tempting.

I am currently going to
pass
on playing cards

Players have up to 24 hours to offer to help.

I'll definitely accept the offer if that time has passed

Hmm, you know what, I'll offer to help for free. So that should be a +4 from me. (L1 + a +3 equipment)

Mizzytastic accepts diamondsentinel's offer to help. DS moves into the Mud Room to help and it is 13 to 9. Charles and ND must play or pass.
