4 or 6 for playoffs doesn't matter to me, I expect to end the regular season in either the Top 3 or the Bottom 3 so I'm not affected either way. My one objection would be to have the finals extend to Week 17 and we're already not doing that so it's all good.
Well, this game happened.

you don't have to but you sorta need to play one durring the season.

I think I’ve had a week where I lost because the defense I rostered went negative, and I would have won had I not rostered any defense!

It
can be
a risk sure, but there are times when the other positions give a dud performance. Mostly in baseball, I'll intentionally not start a pitcher b/c I think they have a bad start. So not starting a defense if you think it's too risky to is a valid strat but those extra pts you could get from a D is nice.

Ive benched my defense on Monday nights while leading when my opponent has no players remaining in leagues where a defense can go negative. I've never done it right from the start of a week though because I always have some level of confidence in the defense I play in any given week.

Yay the default scoring scheme for defenses likely needs an overhaul so that negative points are either impossible or far more rare

I had them unpin us so no one in mish-mash felt like we were getting special treatment or something...idk.
