Why not just a WALRUS?
My main motivation was being chuffed when I didn't understand what a submitter was going for. I'd think to myself "
what's this nonsense
" and then after explanation it'd click and I'd really like the clever angle of approach #keelyyowlingwasrobbedMy other motivation was to have this more interactive and slower paced in that we could all discuss submissions outside of the hour or so running time.
Also I'm old and like message board formats.
What's different?
-No Discord listening sessions, songs will be posted and discussed in thread.
-BANTER. Interject support for your favorite submissions. Tear down your opponents and pillage their farms.
-Much more emphasis on catfit than enjoyment. Almost all about catfit.
-No anonymity. Be yourself. Submit your wheelhouse.
-Doesn't matter if the song is popular, or if I've heard it before.
Will I like this?
You might like WALRUSMASTER if:-You enjoy talking about music more than listening to it.
-You like to solve a puzzle by convincing everyone that your solution is correct.
-You enjoy pedantic discussions that have no correct answer, like which percussion instruments belong on a spaceship.
-You've always wanted to take part in a virtual Taskmaster prize task
What are you committing to?
We will run 8-10 rounds depending on activity levels.
Prior to each round I will solicit a goal for song submissions.
Then I'll post the submissions along with discussions and you can BANTER if you want to.
I'll post scores, and we'll do it again until it's over.
So how will it work?

-Scores will be unique integers ranging from 1 to n, where n is the number of players
-Final decisions will be completely arbitrary and at my whim, but I will try to be fair and consistent from my perspective
-You may score 0 if I feel you have failed the task
-There might be bonus points, people might score the same who knows?
Can add more nittys and grittys if they come up
